  • The stay was comfortable. Location was walkable from the TRA station and the apartment provides you with anything you will need. If you ever need help, just line message/call them and they will respond to you quickly. They provide you with a taxi number so that you will not be overcharged during your trip in hualien. The taroko tour that they recommended was worth it. 5 stars!

  • Amrita is a very friendly, amiable, and social host!
Despite her busy schedule, she came down personally to chat with us, cleared our doubts and provided useful advice for the rest of our journey.
She also has helpers ever more willing to answer your queries if shes not available.
The apartment is very big and spacious, plenty of space to roam around. Price is very worth! My parents took the double room which had their own private toilet! I took a single room. Theres another room that can accommodates 6 people!
However, a little negative part is the mosquitoes. Got bitten quite a bit! Not quite used to the common toilet with the squatting style and a guy standing toilet!
Theres alot of switches for lights in the apartment, a little confusing!
Apartment is very near 7-11 too!
As the apartment is in a residential area, sometime we could head dogs barking late at night! Cant be helped though!
Amrita is very generous and bought breakfast for us the day we are leaving! Helped us to arrange taxi guides for tour to taroko gorge and to our next destination!

  • My wife and me stayed 1 night at the homestay. It's located near the Hualian Train Station (10-15 min walk) and a good 30-40 min walk to the city center. There's a convenient store just next to the homestay.

The room that we stayed in was very spacious and clean. Although the bathroom is shared, it was kept very clean. Shampoo, bath gel and toothpaste were provided. You do feel at home staying here as Amrita and her staff put effort and creativity in decorating the living room and bathroom. To make you feel more at home, amenities such as washing machine, dish dryer, cups, plates etc are provided. Overall, the whole homestay does feel like home and it's clean. The homestay is quiet for a good night's rest.

We did not have the chance to meet up with Amrita but she is a nice host and she responds to emails and messages promptly. Talked to her a couples of times on the phone and she's very helpful. One of her staff, Ah Khai (hope I got his name correctly), attended to us. He is one friendly and enthusiastic chap. He will take the time to share and show you (on the map) of all the nice foods in Hualien. From the way he shared it, you'll know he's a foodie.

I would definitely recommend this homestay for its proximity to the train station, its "homey" feel, clean and quiet place.

  • 5 of my family members stayed in the room with 3 double beds. The house comes with 3 rooms and we were the only guests in the house at that time. It is 10mins walk from the back entrance of Hualien Train Station. But not easy if you do have big luggages like us. We took a taxi costing around TWD100 to get there. As there were too many luggages, I decided to walk while my family members took the taxi but Amrita's assistant were kind enough to give me a ride on his scooter ;-)

The apartment is in a nice residential neighbourhood with good security but not in the busiest part of Hualien city which is not within walking distance. Thanks to the on-call taxi service, it costed only TWD100 to go anywhere in town. Remember to call a taxi to come back too if not the price might go up to TWD200 by hailing a taxi on the street.

Due to some mobility problem of my mum & my cousin, the common bathroom/toilet (also the toilet meant for the room with 3 double beds) with squatting toilet was not convenient. However, i am glad that after highlighting the problem to Amrita, she had one of the unoccupied room opened for us to use the modern seating toilet bowl.

Do bring your own towels as only shampoo & bath gel is provided

There is a washing machine & tumble dryer too which we didn't get to use.

Also appreciate that Amrita & her assistant had helped us to book a taxi for an 8hours service visiting Taroko National Park & some other sites around Hualien.

  • Had an awesome trip! Amrita and her assistants were really helpful in recommending places to see, things to eat, and much more!

The apartment was really spacious and had everything we needed and is really close to a convenience store+7/11. We hope to stay here if we ever visit Hualien again!

  • Amrita is like a sister and friend that can helpfully offer to lots of local information. I felt at home here. if you would like to explore Hualien profoundly, this is the best choice. ^^

  • Amrita was very nice making sure we had a place in Hualien for a night during the Mooncake Festival. We apartment was ok but we were not expecting to share it with anyone else and there was one other person staying there.
We slept in two rooms: one with three double beds and another with one bed. We were nine and had to look for a place for the extra person, we found a thin folded mattress and we used that.
At the end, it was nice we found a place in Hualien as everything else was booked because of the Mooncake Festival.
