Business or pleasure - you’ll find my beautiful Heritage Hill apartment in trendy Spring Hill has the best of everything CBD-wise on your doorstep. From my patio you have fabulous city views over the city and inner east & west.

My apartment is set at the back of Heritage Hill assuring you of a peaceful night’s sleep. Complete kitchen facilities, fridge, crockery and cutlery for your convenience. A BBQ overlooking the city is available for outdoor cooking day and night. Light breakfast supplies, fresh linen and toiletries provided plus secure parking space for 1 vehicle.

The Area
Spring Hill is in the heart of the inner city and walking distance to the CBD, Southbank, West End, Fortitude Valley, Chinatown and public transport. Markets, restaurants, cinemas, night clubs, cafes, shops, boutiques, bottle shops, swimming pools and much more are all within easy walking distance.
Spring Hill is one of the oldest residential neighbourhoods in Brisbane, with many houses dating back to the nineteenth century.

Transport & Parking
Walking distance (10 mins walk with luggage!) from Central Station - catch the AirTrain direct from the airport and be in the city 20 minutes later. Buses run regularly along St Pauls Terrace and the mecca of inter/intra state travel, Roma Street Bus & Rail, is also just a 10 minute stroll away.
It takes 10 minutes to walk to the CBD or the famous Chinatown in Fortitude Valley or the ferry terminal where you can ride the City Cats up and down our gorgeous Brisbane River. We even have free ferries called City Hoppers – hop on and enjoy the ride!

BY CAR:
From the Pacific Motorway or Southeast Freeway take the Turbot Street off ramp; continue on Turbot Street, past Sofitel Hotel, turn left onto Wharf Street, turn right onto Leichhardt Street/St Pauls Terrace. Heritage Hill is on the right on the corner of Quarry Street.

BY TRAIN:
From Central Station walk 300 m downtown on Turbot Street toward Chinatown, in the same direction as the traffic (Turbot Street is one-way). From Wharf Street follow the directions above.

FROM AIRPORT:
Taxi – 25 minutes (approx. $45) Taxi ride will take no more than 25 minutes, even allowing for some traffic.
Air Train - $16 per person from both International and Domestic terminals to Central Station.
Airport Limo Transfer - contact Ozscott Limousines approx $55 - for up to four passengers.

  • Merryl was absolutely lovely and the apartment was spacious, though it was in a slightly seedier part of town, directly next to a rehab center (with quite a few folks lingering outside late at night, which made it a bit unnerving to walk home). The property also buts right up to the parking lot without a gate in between, but the neighbors were largely respectful and managed noise. Also worth noting - no wifi! (And closest is quite a walk into town.)

  • Finally, we are back home and I can get down to writing the reviews.

    You see, a situation in which seniors like us over 70 are suddenly confronted with having to climb down and climb up 40 odd steps every time we leave the apartment or return to it, cannot be considered a pleasing one. Nor the fact, that in this modern world of advanced technology that we live in, there was no WiFi available, leaves you cut off from the world: we were obliged to go downtown in order to be "connected". Also, that the bed touches the wall that you can alight it only from one side, does not provide a happy situation for seniors who need to visit the toilet during the night, sometimes more than once. It is also not a matter of delight, when car engine ignitions wake you up during your holidays, because the cars are parked right across the bedroom window.

  • Recommend highly - very clean, safe, well maintained. Very well located to walk everywhere. Welcomed with opened arms which was lovely. Great welcoming supplies and Merryl very willing to help. Hopefully we can return again!!

  • Merryl is a generous host. The bottle of wine was a nice surprise and she left breakfast items in the fridge for us. The unit was located close to public transport including the train and loads of restaurants are within walking distance. Secure off-street parking is a bonus if you have a car

  • Merryl went out of her way to meet us at the apartment and was most welcoming. All the reviews that have praised both Merryl and the accommodation are accurate and true. A little gem in the centre of the city. We will be back on our next visit to Brisbane.

  • Merryl is a sweet sweet host. She was waiting in the apartment for our late arrival in the evening and she greeted us with a homemade red wine and fresh fruit. This is the warmest welcome during my Australia Trip. The apartment is around 10 mins walk from Fortitude Valley/ China Town. Merrly put some travel guide book/ map in the apartment and also gave us some travel advice. The apartment is well equipped and it felt like my home!! I would love to stay in this apartment in my next Brisbane trip.

  • We spent a lovely weekend in Merryl's apartment. It was beautifully equipped with lovely touches such as the fruit, croissants, wine, milke and so forth. The apartment was just what we needed to explore Brisbane. It was conveniently situated (the walk up the hill kept us fit!) to the river and city on one side, and Fortitude Valley and nightlife on the other. We had a terrific time - thanks!

  • My husband and I travelled to Brisbane to attend a gig and to have a short city break. It was our first experience with airbnb and it was absolutely great! Merryl's apartment is a little treasure in Spring hill. Very convenient, close to CBD, quiet, clean and simply amazing. A must stay in Brisbane. I discovered airbnb when travelling through USA and loved it so much I again used the excellent facilities when travelling through Europe. I wanted to return the joy of homely accommodation to other travellers and now I am able to do this in Brisbane.
