Interaction with Guests
I interact with guests as much or as little as they wish. I live on site, in a different area of the house and am most always available by cell phone, knocking on the door or meeting on the gazebo where kitty and I like to watch the birds.
Our neighborhood is one of the best in Chatham. Serene and woodsy with large open spaces of a golf course across the street, it is a lovely place to walk, jog or bike ride in the summer. It is a beautiful place to stay while visiting friends and relatives. Enjoy the fresh, crisp and clean Cape Cod air.
There is a transit system with a bus stop just down the street, I have not had the need to use it as most everyone has a car.
There is plenty of free parking on site.
Having a vehicle is pretty important for this area. We are famous for the quaint small town/ fishing village atmosphere.
No Smoking inside. You can smoke outside on the deck. Please use the ashtrays provided.
Respect the property.
Our Kitty cat lives upstairs only and is not allowed outside. If she escapes into your apartment let me know or just put her back upstairs and close the door.
The apartment in Diane's house was a wonderful place to stay in Chatham! Beautiful setting, great location for short or long walks that both we and our dogs appreciated, and easy drive to town. The main room in the apartment was just as pictured (there's another large bedroom also); it was clean and comfortable. We were there in the winter, but we're sure the private deck and wooded setting are even more beautiful in warmer months. We appreciated the breakfast and snack foods Diane generously provided.
Diane's home was lovely, as was the location for visiting various places on Cape Cod. She made us feel most welcome and the provisions in the fridge were second to none! Thank you Diane. During the two and a half weeks we've been in Canada/USA, staying in Airbnb almost exclusively, I can honestly say that everything taken into account, this abode took the gold medal. I could unreservedly
Diane made us feel home since we arrived at her nice and cozy place. The place was in outstanding condition and exactly as advertised. Diane also left us plenty of useful information about the Cape (maps, dining guide, etc). She provided us with food for breakfast, everything was already in the fridge when we got there. She got us a high chair for our baby which was very convenient. Great location for exploring the Cape. Beds were very comfy and had plenty of towels available. Diane made sure we enjoyed our stay at her place and we are grateful for that. Thank you Diane.
Diane is a most thoughtful and charming host who was very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. She had our refrigerator filled with numerous breakfast provisions so that we only had to purchase a few extra items to fill out our meals. The apartment was roomy and very lovely with wonderful thick towels and comfortable beds. It faces a woodsy ravine so you have good privacy when sitting on the deck (where we took all our meals) and lots of quiet. The shops and restaurants of picturesque Chatham are less than a ten-minute drive away. This apartment is an excellent and affordable option for those wanting to spend a few days to a week on a most desirable town on the Cape.
Our stay with Diane in Chatham was fantastic! Diane was a gracious host who made our stay special. It was wonderful not to be in a sterile hotel but rather a quiet home with all our needs attended to. Diane had our refrigerator stocked with breakfast foods and other snacks which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We were in Chatham for a wedding so our weekend was pretty booked. It was so nice to retreat back to Diane's private apartment to unwind. Though we were very familiar with the area, Diane was welcoming and let us know she was happy to help us with any need we may have. If new to the area, Diane would be a great resource for things to do and the apartment had materials on places to visit.
The apartment is clean and very well cared for. Anything you could possibly need is provided. Having a private deck, complete with grill is a big plus. The area is very quiet without any of the usual tourist noise - a huge advantage to us.
We highly recommend this spot and will definitely return if we need a place to stay in Chatham in the future.
Diane was a very accommodating host. The place was exactly as described, and was in a great location, just a few minutes from the beach and the very cute Main Street of Chatham. The general location on the Cape makes it easy to travel to Provincetown for a nice day trip. Would definitely stay again.
Diane was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was clean and nicely set up when we arrived. It was really nice to have beach towels and beach chairs provided, and the living space was totally fine for four adults on good terms. I say that because while there is a private bedroom, the people staying there have to walk through where the other two people are sleeping, which is essentially in the living room. This was OK for us, but just worth noting if you are looking for more privacy. Kitchenette is sufficient, but not great if you plan to do much cooking in the apartment. Having a private deck was great, and the location is very good for getting around this part of the Cape.
I am a retired innkeeper having been married to the owner of The Dolphin of Chatham before his death. Now, I would like to open my "mother-in-law" apartment to guests. I've created a private, tranquil and intimate setting for discerning guests to enjoy a peaceful getaway to the Cape in Chatham.
