Brad and Carolina were lovely hosts providing us with wine and chocolate upon our arrival. They also left us with morning essentials, coffee, half and half and juice all of which made us feel so welcome. The apt is very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The neighborhood is very walkable to restaurants and close to many favorite places in Portland. The street is beautifully tree lined. a bit densely populated but quiet and parking is easy in front of the main house.
Thank you so much!
It was a very pleasant stay, and Brad & Carolina are fabulous host. The house is just one block away from Broadway St, where there are many coffee shops and restaurants.
This is a perfect little apartment in a perfect little neighborhood (I am biased because I grew up here). The apartment is cozy and with very beautiful decor and a lovely little faux wood stove that was so much fun and now I really want one for my own home even though I currently live in LA :) They were very thoughtful and left snacks, fruit, juice, milk, coffee, and wine--so very nice to not have to run and get things after a long day of traveling with an infant. OH! They also went above and beyond and got a bassinet for my daughter to use during our stay. My only comments--and not worth knocking down a star--are that the apartment is in the back of a house with a connecting door so it is not totally private (the owner came in to get something once--knocked first) but as close as possible and that the front door is very hard to shut and lock. Aside from that a wonderful place to stay when in Portland.
We had a great stay in Brad and Carolina's apartment. A lovely, comfortable, apartment in a great and historic neighbourhood. We were close to restaurants, coffee shops, and an easy bike ride on designated paths to downtown.
Brad and Carolina were excellent hosts. They made us feel comfortable right away. Thank you for your warm welcome and for stocking the fridge. We now feel we have found a home away from home.
Brad and Carolina provided me with a comfortable, affordable place for my month long stay in Portland. The space was small, but nicely decorated and well equipped with wi-fi, cable TV, and a washer/dryer. The bed was very comfortable and I slept quite well there. The location was great, close to restaurants and shops on Broadway and very close to downtown via the Broadway Bridge. The surrounding Irvington neighborhood was very pretty.
Brad and Carolina were quick to respond to my requests and even provided a basket of toys for my grandson who visited often.
Staying at the Perkin's apartment was incredibly satisfying. We were very impressed with the aprtment's features, the backyard plantings, sculptures and privacy. Our hosts were most gracious in their welcoming and daily conversations. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops and specialty stores. The location was very convenient and accessible for auto travel. We would definitely stay at Perkin's again.
