This was a really great place to stay at Kona---David was wonderful, very attentive but let us have our space. It really was within walking distance of two great beaches and David loaned us snorkel and boogie boards, so we got to swim with turtles and schools of gorgeous tropical fish at Kahala'u park, which was amazing. The place was very clean, quiet, and comfortable, just like the listing says, and easy to cook for yourself with the Keauhou shopping center just a 5 min drive away. David also gave us some great recs for food (poke!!!) and for surfing lessons. It was an amazing, golden stay. Would definitely go back---was out of the busyness of Kona, too. Many thanks to David and his wife.

Great crash pad for a single person who wants to experience the excellent snorkel and boarding opportunities at Holualoa Bay on a budget. It is a few walkable blocks to the easy entry point on the bay. The public shuttle takes you to and from Kona-Kailua town. This is a great way to go bar hopping on the north side where the shopping and restaurant action takes place. Shuttle timing is every 2 hours which is only convenient with good planning. The unit was clean. Kitchen and laundry facilities provided good home comfort. David was very welcoming and helpful.

My wife and I moved here after having vacationed in Kona ourselves. The weather is warm and so is the water temperature year round. Kona is a community of good health, from all the out door activity's, both ocean and on land, and healthy eating. We both grew up on the coast of southern California which we thought was paradise. After having spent time here in Kona during the winter months we found that this was true paradise. We decided we wanted to be a part of the Island life. Now we have a place for others to come stay and find what we fell in love with. It has it all from fishing, snorkeling, hiking to exploring the volcanoes and water falls.
