Your woodland getaway at an Alaskan homestead. Enjoy the fresh, clean air in a quiet location. Just 7 minutes from Anchorage's medical and university districts, skiing, golf, equestrian arenas, plus nearby outdoor activities including walking, x-country skiing and biking in the Chugach Mountains.

The space
A humble guesthouse sits atop our homestead, taking in weary travelers just getting in from days spent in the mountains, hiking, fishing and exploring the last known frontier. Outside, nothing fancy. Nothing speaking of the city down the hill. No traffic noise. No manicured lawns. Just birch trees. Come spring, they'll be tapped for nectar boiled down to syrup and made into wine. Just a few beehives, abandoned for the winter. In a few months, they'll be buzzing and full of honey. A rickety old fence and a dozen chickens, pecking around, happy as can be. A couple cabins out back and a hammock catch your eye. A rooster pipes up, cock-a-doodle-doo! instantly, you're taken back to days spent at Grandma's house in the country eating sourdough and home-cooked meals.

The spacious living area and bedroom offer plenty of staging room for travelers and commuters, almost 1,000 square feet.

Guest access
Private access, full reign of the apartment, entry and driveway. Freedom to walk the property and explore all that it offers.

Moose often wander through (eat from our gardens). Our homestead and most of the six or seven other houses in our neighborhood neighborhood are all situated on an acre of land or more. We are backed up against mountains and forest. *Pavement turns to gravel about 100 yards before the homestead driveway.

Jerami is a 7th generation Alaskan mixed blood - with ancestry of Aleut, Russian and Scandinavian roots. Jerami's family has a long history in Alaska. His great grandfather's grandfather, the explorer John W. Clark, came to Alaska for a US telegraph job in the 1800's. The family ended up settling in Bristol Bay. There Clark and his family built the commercial fishing industry into what it is today. They fished from wooden sailboats and muscled in nets by hand. J.W. Clark established the first fish "saltery" and managed the local AC store. The family multiplied and spread out to hunt, trap, mine, commercial fish and pioneer the bush pilot era, while living immersed in traditional native and subsistence ways of living. Jerami served in the military then came back to Alaska. He is at home in the outdoors, exploring, guiding, and hosting travelers and continues to work in Alaska's growing tourism industry with an eco-friendly approach. He offers his home and helps travellers find the adventure they have always dreamed of. Jerami supports long-term sustainable agricultural and local reliance aimed at making Alaska less dependent on outside food resources. His current projects, which he loves to discuss with guests, include developing a commercial aquaponics co-op that will a With a great love for travel and the world's cultures providing comfortable accommodations for international guests keeps him entertained most of the time. In 2020, he is hiking the Appalachian trail with girlfriend and Rachel. In his spare time, he balances his active lifestyle with cultivation, cooking, brewing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, climbing, rafting, sailing and travelling.
