  • Great place to stay very friendly. Had fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. Also invited us to lunch. Super place to stay. Very close to city center. Just one short "2" bus ride. Couldn't be better.

  • Riccardo was a wonderful and gracious host. It was perfect for my first experience in Italy. He has a vast knowledge of places to see, how to get there, and where to go to have fun. I felt incredibly welcome and was sad to leave. Until next time!

  • We absolutely enjoyed our stay with Riccardo. Located in a small quiet neighbourhood, Riccardo's house is beautifully decorated and very well-furnished. It is quite near the city centre and all major attractions are easily accessible by tram or bus. We were warmly greeted by Riccardo, his mother and his grandmother and their warm hospitality made us feel very much at home. Riccardo was extremely nice and helpful, and gave us many tips and advice on where to go. He was always present in the mornings to chat or give any help, even if he had a late night. Though she couldn't speak English, Riccardo's mother was very warm and loving, and prepared a sumptuous breakfast every morning. We were treated as her own children. The grandmother was very adorable and welcoming. The place is huge, and we had a lot of privacy in our own section of the house. How we wish we could have stayed longer :) Thank you Riccardo!

  • i enjoyed everything about staying at Riccardo's place. As a host he will go to great lengths to provide you with the best recommendations for food and sightseeing. He was always present at breakfast to answer any of our questions or just there to be a great host even after long nights out. The hospitality shown to us was just amazing.

The instructions given to get to his place were very clear. the location was very nice! despite what it seems, it is in fact very close to the city centre with the help of the 8 tram. if we had stayed nearer to the city centre we might not have been adventurous enough to venture to Trastevere. But it was definitely a great experience walking around Trastevere, with nice streets and even better food. Carlo Menta!!!

Breakfast was always AMAZING! The coffee was great, there was always more than enough to eat and such a joy to have such a selection. thanks riccardo!

The photos don't do justice to the house, it had such a nice vibe and it felt like we had a whole section of the house to ourselves. The toilets were clean and the comfortable fluffy bathrobes were definitely a plus. His mother and grandmother were also very hospitable. I really wish i could've communicated better with them since they did not speak much english, but their intentions were always good.

Riccardo was worried that we would not be able to catch a tram to the train station because it was christmas day and he personally drove us there in his car and really helped us out that day.

if i ever come back to Rome, i will definitely try to stay with Riccardo.

  • Very nice apartment. Room was great and bathroom, while shared, felt like it was private. Breakfast was provided and very good. Nice family. Location was convenient to Roma central. It was a 20 minute tram ride. Bravo!

  • Riccardo gave us a warm welcome and did his best to make our stay pleasant and most interesting. Also his mother and grandmother are very nice. The room is comfortable with a big separate bathroom, all located in a big apartment, next to a wonderful park. This park give you beautiful possibility to relax after visiting noisy districts of Rome. You must cross the park on the way to Vatican. And you need only 45 min. to be there!
Riccardo - many thanks to you and you family.

    Response from Riccardo:

Atena and Bob are very good guests! They stayed more than a month at my place so they became like a part of the family - my grandma, mom and me. I am glad they appreciated my house and also the Monteverde area with the big Villa Pamphili park. It was nice to be in their company. Grazie e a presto!:)

  • Sorry this review came sooo late, nonetheless, I would like to send our appreciation to Riccardo for his hospitality and generous help.
Even though he has an early appointment when we arrived, he still fetch us from the station. Thanks so much Riccardo and all the best!
    Much Aloha from Hawaii!!!

  • Riccardo was an excellent and extremely helpful host - assisting us with our complicated public transport questions during our 1 night stay. He provided a large selection of breakfast items and some excellent coffee too. The handy Number 8 tram is close by and takes you into the city centre.
