The Space

I'm listing a room in my 2 bedroom apartment with a big clean kitchen at your service and a tidy, clean shower as well. There's wireless internet, a TV and books in the living room and a washer and dryer inside the apartment too! It's a peaceful environment with lots of natural light. Quiet, yet close to the action.
The apartment is close to both major metro lines: the orange at Sherbrooke station, and the green line at Papineau station, both accessible by walk or bus. the bus on Sherbrooke street, a major street in Montreal, runs 24h taking you from the corner of the street to downtown and further, crossing the city from east to west!
If you decide to take metro Papineau you would be in the heart of the Gay Village and on your way to downtown as the green line runs underneath St-Catherine street.
There are 2 parks within walking distance, one with an outdoor swimming pool for those super hot Montreal summer days. The other is a favorite destination for Montrealers wishing to have a nice picnic.

Within the Apartment:
- One master bedroom (MINE)
- One smaller bedroom with a twin size bed (YOURS)
- One desk and a chair in the bedroom
- One sofa in the living room and a table for 4.
- Wireless Internet
- One balcony right above the sidewalk (great for people watching) with a table and 2 chairs ideal for coffee/tea or a glass of wine
- Functional Kitchen with all the appliances, a table for 4.
- A comfortable living room
- Clean bathtub/shower
- Washer and dryer inside the apartment
- Hair dryer
- Iron & Iron table
- Each room has an individual thermostat to set the temperature to your comfort (winter only)
- Towels and sheets are provided

The apartment is set up to accommodate one guest (beside me, of course!).

Guest Access

Guest are granted access to the private room they have booked and access to the common areas as well as use of the devices and appliances. The password to the wifi is provided so you can enjoy internet on your personal devices.

Interaction with Guests

If I'm home, I'm very generous with my time and advice, I enjoy showing my guests the cool places the neighborhood has to offer. Or just direct them the right way. If I'm traveling, arrangements would be made so you have access to your key and the apartment.

The Neighborhood

Discover (or experience again, the magic of) the Plateau Mont-Royal. Very trendy, great bagels, great coffee shops, great restaurants, and all right next to downtown, i love my neighborhood, it was rated best place to live in Canada.

Montreal is a very beautiful city. I'd even show you around if our schedules work out. My place is right next to Parc Lafontaine, discovering the neighborhood by bike is highly recommended, or even the city as we have tons of bile lanes and a bike share system that is convenient and easy to use. Also recommended, long walks on Mont-Royal avenue and its shops or a walk on rue Rachel would take you right to the foot of the Mount-Royal!

Getting around

From the AIRPORT, the best way to get to my place would be to take the bus 747 all the way to the BUS STATION on Berri street.
From the BUS STATION on Berri street, you could walk 2 blocks up the hill to Sherbrooke Metro station on Berri and Cherrier to take bus 24 eastbound from there and get off at the corner of Sherbrooke street & ave de Lorimier. (2min ride) walk one block towards east to ave des Erables, turn left and then walk to 3482 ave des Erables.
From the TRAIN STATION, if you arrive by train, you would be underground so just follow the signs to get to Bonaventure metro station, get in the direction of Montmorency and get off at Sherbrooke metro station. From Sherbrooke Metro station take the exit Berri street EST and Cherrier street to take bus 24 eastbound from there and get off at the corner of Sherbrooke street & ave de Lorimier. (2min ride) walk one block towards east to ave des Erables, turn left and then walk to 3482 ave des Erables. From the AIRPORT the taxi flat rate to downtown is 40$ plus tip.

Other Things to Note

Wireless info is shown on the side of the fridge at all times. You may reach me by air b&b message, i carry my smartphone with me at all times.

Check In
  • I had a great time at Montreal. Alfredo lives in a lovely street and with very easy access to the main attractions. The apartment itself is also nice, the bedroom and the bed are small but correspondent to what the pictures show. The highlight of the place is Alfredo, who was always very helpful, talkative and friendly. I totally recommend staying there!

  • Alfredo was (email hidden)! Offering great hospitality (email hidden) to crash, I am so happy I chose to stay with him. The room is very small but manageable and Alfredo makes you feel right at home.

The area is incredible! Walking distance to Parc Lafontaine with so many free events, Le Plateau-Mont-Royal is an area you must explore – offers a real taste of a fabulous Montreal neighbourhood! And so many restaurants that are affordable and great (you really need to check out Les Belles Soeurs for breakfast!).

    Highly recommended!

  • Great location! Very pleasant neighborhood, close to many great shops, groceries, cafes, restaurants...all of very nice quality. Epicureans can find a lot to entertain their taste buds around here. Alfredo's place does the trick....better probably for solo stays since the room is small but comfy. The host is helpful with advice and information.

  • Alfredo's place was fantastic for my time in Montreal. The room/apartment was comfortable and clean with all the amenities you would need for a week long stay as I had done (great kitchen, fast internet, washer/dryer). Alfredo was a kind and helpful host, showing me the neighbourhood and places to see with spot on recommendations for things I wanted to do. The location is perfect as it's a few blocks away from stellar grocery/produce/buctcher/deli stores and enough bars and such for a fun night out. There's bus stops around the corner but walking into the city or other neighbourhoods of interest is only about 15-25 mins. I wouldn't hesitate to rent his place again upon another visit to Montreal!

  • Alfredo was the best imaginable host. Considerate, helpful, and fun! His home is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. He was flexible when my times and needs changed and trusted me to come and go with a key. I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend staying with Alfredo when you visit Montreal.

  • I had a great stay with Alfredo. The room was clean and quiet and i just came and went as I pleased. Was a great location to downtown and the plateau. Would definitely stay there again!

  • Alfredo's place is well situated between Avenue de Lorimier, where you can catch a bus to downtown, and Avenue.du Mont-Royal, which features lots of little bars, cafés and restaurants. A nice feature of the clean room is that it has an electric heater with a separate thermostat which allows you to regulate temperature yourself. The place is lively and at times it might get a little bit noisy, but that didn't bother me. Alfredo (email hidden) and I enjoyed my stay there.

  • J'ai passé un superbe séjour chez Alfredo. Très accueillant, son appartement est proche du métro et a été parfait comme point de départ.
    Je recommande vivement ce logement.
