I'm listing a room in my 2 bedroom apartment with a big clean kitchen at your service and a tidy, clean shower as well. There's wireless internet, a TV and books in the living room and a washer and dryer inside the apartment too! It's a peaceful environment with lots of natural light. Quiet, yet close to the action.
The apartment is close to both major metro lines: the orange at Sherbrooke station, and the green line at Papineau station, both accessible by walk or bus. the bus on Sherbrooke street, a major street in Montreal, runs 24h taking you from the corner of the street to downtown and further, crossing the city from east to west!
If you decide to take metro Papineau you would be in the heart of the Gay Village and on your way to downtown as the green line runs underneath St-Catherine street.
There are 2 parks within walking distance, one with an outdoor swimming pool for those super hot Montreal summer days. The other is a favorite destination for Montrealers wishing to have a nice picnic.

Interaction with Guests
If I'm home, I'm very generous with my time and advice, I enjoy showing my guests the cool places the neighborhood has to offer. Or just direct them the right way. If I'm traveling, arrangements would be made so you have access to your key and the apartment.
Discover (or experience again, the magic of) the Plateau Mont-Royal. Very trendy, great bagels, great coffee shops, great restaurants, and all right next to downtown, i love my neighborhood, it was rated best place to live in Canada.
Montreal is a very beautiful city. I'd even show you around if our schedules work out. My place is right next to Parc Lafontaine, discovering the neighborhood by bike is highly recommended, or even the city as we have tons of bile lanes and a bike share system that is convenient and easy to use. Also recommended, long walks on Mont-Royal avenue and its shops or a walk on rue Rachel would take you right to the foot of the Mount-Royal!
From the AIRPORT, the best way to get to my place would be to take the bus 747 all the way to the BUS STATION on Berri street.
From the BUS STATION on Berri street, you could walk 2 blocks up the hill to Sherbrooke Metro station on Berri and Cherrier to take bus 24 eastbound from there and get off at the corner of Sherbrooke street & ave de Lorimier. (2min ride) walk one block towards east to ave des Erables, turn left and then walk to 3482 ave des Erables.
From the TRAIN STATION, if you arrive by train, you would be underground so just follow the signs to get to Bonaventure metro station, get in the direction of Montmorency and get off at Sherbrooke metro station. From Sherbrooke Metro station take the exit Berri street EST and Cherrier street to take bus 24 eastbound from there and get off at the corner of Sherbrooke street & ave de Lorimier. (2min ride) walk one block towards east to ave des Erables, turn left and then walk to 3482 ave des Erables. From the AIRPORT the taxi flat rate to downtown is 40$ plus tip.

Great host. Nice room. Wifi was a bit choppy, but Alfred fixed the connection upon my request right away. Bus stop is right around the corner, so shouldn't be a problem to get around the city.
I had a good time staying in Montreal at Alfredo's place. His apartment is located in a very good neighborhood not far from lively Mont Royal Avenue where you can find lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Alfredo's home was perfect for my stay. The room is quiet and located in the back of the apartment. It's cozy, but perfect for a single traveler who wants to stay in a Montreal neighborhood. Everything was clean and Alfredo was more than happy to offer suggestions. I was able to walk all over the city from his apartment, arriving downtown or at the base of Mont Royal within 20-30 minutes. I would definitely stay again or recommend to a friend!
I didn't meet Alfredo the first night I stayed due to the weird times I was getting in. But everything was perfectly arranged and the place was in a safe, quiet neighbourhood that I was very happy with. The room is great for a single person or a couple, with a clean bathroom, nice kitchen and friendly view out the room window into a pleasant courtyard. I met Alfredo the second night and he was cool too! Helped with some recommendations and generally just checked in to make sure everything was going well!
I drove in, expecting to not find parking and to go find a lot, but there was plenty of street parking and with the help of some friendly Canadians I understood all the parking signs and was able to park on the street the entire visit and not spend a dime on it. The apartment is an incredibly close walk to the bike share program, BIXI, station that I rode around the entire time I was in Montreal. Highly recommend both the bike share and this apartment!
Encore une fois, Alfredo à été un super hôte et mon séjour s'est très bien passé.
Je reviendrai avec plaisir.
Alfredo was a nice host. He even shared his dinner with me when I first arrived. The place was nice and the neighborhood wasn't that bad. Price was good. I recommend it.
It is clean and tidy. I like this neighborhood - it is not typical downtown tourist but a more local one; Mont-Royal ave is a few blocks away with lots of small boutiques and restaurants. The host has travel brochure and a beautiful water bottle on the table. What you need are all in the drawers; he made it easy for you by labelling everything. It is a good fit for solo traveller. He didn't have time to interact with me this time, but we communicate well and he gave me some tips via messages.
The only thing is both bathroom and bedroom's door can not be locked.
