Explore Portland on foot from this fabulous location!
Located right in the heart of Portland on the historic Deering St - - a registered historic district. The property itself is a Queen Anne Victorian built in 1876. We have fully renovated the house. We include free WIFI and free off street parking. It is located 1 block from the Arts District / Longfellow Square. This home has everything to make your stay in Portland comfortable, fun and relaxing. One of the great things about this residential city street is "stooping". On any given evening, you can see neighbors with wine and cheese sitting out on their front stoop. The Old Port, arts district, and main shopping areas are all walking distance. Down the hill is the Deering Oaks Park (Saturday Farmers Market, children's outdoor theater, ice skating, wading pool, and brand new children's playground). For the foodie, there is no better place than Portland with all of its award winning restaurants and chefs right within walking distance. For those who love the outdoors, skiing, fishing, hiking, etc all within a close drive. Finally, LL Bean and the Freeport outlets are only 20 minutes away.

Location = amazing; easy walking distance to everything.
The house is superb for the rate. It can easily sleep more than 6 comfortably and has enough common space to entertain. The home is versatile enough that it would even be comfortable for as few as 3 and has all the necessary amenities to make a trip pleasant. I'll definitely keep this location in mind for any future trips to Portland.
We booked this last minute as a one night stop over from northern Maine, heading back to Massachusetts, after a rather disappointing vacation rental. Robert was quick, efficient and very transparent. We had two small children, and relieved parents as we sunk into their large, friendly and kid - heaven home. More toys than you can shake a stick at. A great base for Portland for young and old alike.
