About This Listing
Rent a room in this lovely apartment just a stones throw from Smith college, downtown, several grocery stores, a beautiful park and the bus route to surrounding towns. Use of full kitchen included as well as full bath, living room and private porch overlooking my peaceful neighborhood.
You must be willing to tolerate my old and sleepy cat, Sparky. She is happiest outside when the weather is warm. Please don't bring your pet. She would be very unhappy.
Sheets and towels provided. Queen bed for 1-2 guests. Breakfast provisions provided.
If you are new to the area I'd be happy to help you in any way I can to navigate your way around, suggest events or to find great restaurants, stores or museums and galleries.
Other Things to Note
The fee for one extra guest who will be provided a sleeping mattress in your room is $30. If you have more than one extra guest you may rent out my whole apartment for $175 for 4 people which includes 2 bedrooms. Each extra guest in that case is also $30
Will discuss on arrival.
We were greeted with a thoughtful welcome note and delightful feline, and had a great conversation with Trudy on the sun porch the next morning. We were encouraged to make ourselves completely at home. Beautiful neighborhood about about a 12 minute walk to downtown Northampton.
It's advertised as a 1br, but my fiancé and I felt like we had an entire house. Trudy was very accommodating and generous with her suggestions and desire to make sure we were comfortable as could be. Sparky was such a sweet and friendly kitty too. A cozy weekend to remember!
Very nice place! Cozy and clean indeed! Trudy was very nice and we were very well accommodated with towels, a warm bed and breakfast supplies. Highly recommended.
Nice and cozy with great location. Tasteful, charming and comfortable. We are looking forward to come back!
We had a great time at Trudy's place. The room was lovely and spacious and we loved using the adjoining sitting room for a good old family movie night with our daughter who we were visiting at college. Trudy is a lovely person--warm, welcoming, and easy going. We would certainly stay at Trudy's again!
Trudy was a wonderful, thoughtful, friendly host. She was very generous and accommodating, and true to the description her home is very cozy and clean and located on a beautiful, quiet treelined street not far from Smith College and the heart of Northampton The bedroom is very well appointed and comfortable. I highly recommend this host to fellow Airbnb travelers
It felt like visiting a favorite relative. Trudy was so patient with us as we changed our arrival time more than once. She has a lovely home on a quiet tree lined street in a classic older New England neighborhood. Our second floor bedroom faced the street with 2 sunny windows providing a nice breeze and view. There was a cozy sitting area just off our room. A perfect place to sit and read brochures and sip our morning coffee. The kitchen and bath were conveniently located steps from the bedroom. Trudy encouraged us to use the breakfast staples in fridge and make ourselves at home in her kitchen. Her home was fresh and clean and we will definitely book again next time we are in the area.

About the Host, Trudy
I have worked as a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital for the past 30 years. I am originally from Williamstown, Ma and have lived many different places before settling down here, marrying and raising 3 daughters who are now in their 20's. My motivation for hosting people in my home is primarily economic (those nagging college bills are looming over my head still) but I genuinely have a welcoming nature and an interest in meeting new people of all ages. I am an excellent source in terms of navigating the streets of New England, finding the best places to eat depending on your budget, recreational opportunities, cultural events............. You can walk to downtown Northampton, the bus route to local communities and even some museums from my house which is located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in town.
My home is very cozy and clean. Of course, you would have use of the kitchen and full bathroom. Sheets and towels provided. If you are interested in staying here you must be able to tolerate my very lazy and old cat, Sparky. and please don't bring your pets. Sparky would flip out. Happy to answer any questions ahead of making your choice.
