We are near several cafes, pubs, a supermarket, and pharmacy.
I just stayed in Becky & Scott's lovely Georgian apartment for 4 nights on a work trip to Dublin - and they are fabulous hosts, and it was the perfect place to relax and recover after my busy days. The room was spacious, and had everything I could need for my stay. They were so attentive and helpful, and provided a wonderful spread of healthy food to prepare my breakfast from. I was really touched by their caring approach and will definitely stay with them again when I'm next in Dublin!
Our stay was very good. Becky and Scott are very nice people. And their touristics tips are amazing.
The appartment is clean, spacious and comfortable. The location is also good, because you can reach the city center just walking for 20 minutes. Moreover, there is a train station close to the apartment.
It was a great stay!!
Thanks Becky and Scott :)
I'm not even sure where to begin!!
From the first messages that we exchanged, I knew my stay there will be great!
The location, the building and the interior are great, as you can imagine from the photos, but putting that aside (because that's not what makes the experience great - it's the people), the way I was greeted and practically 'serviced' most of the time, makes Becky an amazing hostess and my stay there so pleasant.
She even insisted on carrying my luggage up and down the stairs, which made me feel a little bit bad because she is smaller than me, haha!
I didn't care much about 'settling in', after all, I was staying for one night only. But Becky's personality and warmth draws you to stick around her and talk, instead of locking yourself in your room right away and start unpacking.
It seemed that we clicked right away, so we kept on talking about all kinds of things for hours. (on the other hand, maybe my constant talking made her feel like she has to stay and talk to me, haha. If that's the case - SORRY, I know I'm a chatterbox!)
Because I had an important meeting the next morning and didn't have an alarm clock, I asked Becky and Scott if they could wake me up. I felt bad for asking for something like that, but it was very important to me and I didn't have a choice. Luckily, as promised, Becky woke me up and amazingly enough, she said she's almost sorry to wake me up early, even though I asked her to. She managed to make it seem like she wasn't doing me a favour, but I was so grateful. She prepared a breakfast, sliced the fruit, made the coffee...
Regarding other details, the room is lovely, with huge windows, a desk full of useful information about Dublin, wifi code, towels and a free shampoo and shower gel.
Maybe I came for a one night stay, but I left with a one more friend. :D
Can't wait to meet up with Becky again, wherever that may be!
Becky and Scott were great hosts! Friendly, welcoming and considerate of our needs. We got in fairly late and were able to stay beyond the given check out time. Becky made sure to accommodate any extra breakfast wishes and was very welcoming when we arrived. The room was very comfortable and everything was nice and clean, which gave it a real "homey" feeling. They are both so friendly and would recommend them to anyone coming to Dublin. The location was great, centrally located and a very enjoyable walk into the town. We had a great weekend!
hey becky and scott,
it was our first time on airbnb and it was awesome!!!
thank you so much for the nice room and food and everything.
oh, we found that there is a bus/coach going directly to the airport from the bus stop at the US embassy right at your house! its 8,50 for adults and takes 30 minutes, goes there without stopping! the sign for it is a bit hidden, but its there;-)
(website hidden) maps even tells you when its coming when you hit the travel option...definitely at 6:56 am ;-) maybe good to know!
ah, and also - we always just walked to the city center, takes 30-40 minutes... we also never thought that its so close to the city by just looking on the map... so also great location of the apartment!
thank you very much again!
I had a wonderful time staying with Becky and Scott! Their home was so lovely and they were such hospitable hosts. They left me clean towels, soap and shampoo and conditioner to use plus maps so I could find my way around Dublin. The room also had a wonderful collection of brochures for various activities and sites around town.
Before I arrived Becky asked if there was anything special she could pick up for me for Breakfast which I thought was so thoughtful. It was more like staying with friends. The room itself was warm and cozy with it's own heater. There are some restaurants and pubs right on the corner and it's a quick 15 min walk into downtown. Very safe area and never hard to get a taxi. Over all I highly recommend anyone traveling to Dublin to get a chance to stay with Becky and Scott.
Becky and her husband were so friendly and pleasant. Their flat is so nice and very clean. Only shame was we can´t stay longer... Me and my boyfriend really enjoyed Dublin. So thank you Becky for everything!
Becky took me in at extremely short notice and was so accommodating with my plans. Her home was perfectly clean, quiet and in a beautiful safe area close to town and the sea. She made sure I had everything I could need and was on hand the whole time. I felt very welcomed and able to go about making myself at home. Her and Scott are so lovely and hospitable.
The room itself was comfy and cozy (also nice and warm for a November visit). Along with wifi, breakfast, my own key, a desk with a view, towels, maps of the city, tourist brochures and Becky's hospitality, I could not have wished for a better place to stay.
I would absolutely recommend staying at Becky's place and would do so again if I return to Dublin.
Was a beautiful space, on a beautiful street! Perfect for what I needed, not too far from the main downtown area where I wanted to do touristy things. Becky and Scott were great hosts and made sure I was comfortable. I only stayed briefly, but would definitely stay again if I had the chance, I would have loved to get to know them more!
Becky and Scott are fantastic hosts and have a beautiful apartment in a great part of Dublin. Local amenities are plentiful and Becky and Scott are great to spend time with.
Totally recommend a stay here!
