The space
We are one of a select rentals that have direct access to the lake and includes a dock. Fishing, swimming and more right outside our doors!
Welcome to our home, over 1850 sq ft of lakefront bliss. Imagine yourself walking into the Owner's Suite and all you see are a wall of windows overlooking the lake! The inviting King sized bed will feel great at the end of a long day. There is a futon and a two person twin trundle bed in the room which can also be converted to a full size bed. The second bedroom offers a Queen bed and a large window with beautiful lake views overlooking the dock. The third room is great for kids or other family members or friends. They will enjoy a Full size bed and a Twin bunk bed with a trundle that can sleep up to five in that room. The King and Full bedrooms offer TVs with Amazon Fire Sticks which require an Amazon account. A self inflatable queen air mattress is available and all bed linens are provided. All bedrooms are on the second floor. All bedrooms and the upstairs hallway have been freshly painted for the coming vacation season!
The ample downstairs bathroom has a walk in shower with seating, while the bright freshly painted upstairs bathroom has a bath tub/shower combo. All towels and wash cloths are included. We even offer a special washcloth for you to clean off your make-up. Updated double mirrors and light fixtures will be installed for this year.
The spacious living room will wow you with its walls of windows. Everywhere you look are gorgeous lake views overlooking a deck that walks right out to the water. Enjoy a stunning sunrise while relaxing on a power reclining couch and loveseat. Snuggle in with plush pillows and throw blankets as well as a gas fireplace for those cold Ohio months. Enjoy the 500 Mbps WiFi for those times you want technology or the game table, puzzles, books and board games for when you don't. A Roku TV with many streaming apps is available for you to sign in to your own accounts. Please note cable TV is not available at our property.
Whether you have a large group of people or small, everyone will have a seat at the table. The dining room with large lake view windows has seating for six as well as a bar with wine glasses and a blender. You will also find a high top pub table in the corner of the living room that can seat four more people for more dinner settings or a game night.
The kitchen consists of a full size refrigerator, full size electric stove, microwave oven, a Keurig coffee maker, drip coffee maker, toaster, full sets of dishes, silverware, glasses and coffee cups. Cooking utensils and other items are included.
Adjacent to the kitchen by the front door, you will find the front loading washer and dryer that you can use at your convenience. In the front closet you will find fishing poles, lake floats, life vests, camp chairs and starter logs for the outside firepit as well as a vacuum and broom, if needed.
We are a dog friendly home, as we have dogs ourselves, and we want to cater to them, as well as their human counter parts. We have a large wire dog crate for their use, as well as dog gates, bowls and a water feeder. Please remember to select the amount of pets when booking. We prefer to keep it to a maximum of two dogs. If you have more, please contact us before booking to see if we can accommodate the request.
When going out either of the two sliding doors, off of the living room onto the sun deck, you will discover the sweeping views of Indian Lake. Enjoy a day in the sun sitting at the patio table or fishing off of the deck. Visualize yourself enjoying an afternoon watching the people go by on boats, jet skis, kayaks and paddle boards. On the fenced in side yard you will see the boat dock, where you can park your boat, kayak, or jet ski for easy access literally steps away from your front door. There is a public boat ramp within minutes of our house.
We offer a Rubber Dockie Floating Mat which is simply the best water accessory around. No air pumps, no ladders, no sweat! The Rubber Dockie is 100% non-absorbent so it will stay mold and mildew free and will never get too heavy to use and store. Great for any body of water; lakes, rivers and even the ocean. Rubber Dockies are great to tether to stationary objects like pontoons, docks or even an old anchor.
We do offer one 2 Kayak's at this time for guests to use.
Usage of a Kayak or Rubber Dockie, guests acknowledge and agree that the property owners are not liable for any injuries, damages, or death that may occur. Guests assume all risks associated with these activities.
For the chilly nights, you can enjoy the firepit and some fun time with family and friends. Don't count out the cooler months either! The lake is bursting with activity in any season! In the Fall you may want to hike trails and admire the fall leaves, shop at the local farmer's markets, or enjoy an afternoon at the nearby brewery, winery or restaurant. In the winter you can ice fish, snow mobile or enjoy skiing at Mad River Mountain, which is only 20 minutes away. Guests will have access to the entire home.
Other things to note
Parking is limited to three or four vehicles, depending on size. We share an island with two other homes so please park inside the designated area and do not block our neighbors. Our home is at the end of the island so backing in or backing out will be required.
Please do not go on our neighbors dock and or deck.
Security camera's are located by the front door outside and on the back deck outside to help with safety and security.
