This spacious and cozy room is part of an easy going and friendly 'WG' in Berlin Fhain, just at the border of Kreuzberg, Amit and Myself live here. This spot makes you equally distant from the nicest spots of town for Art, Food, Culture and Clubbing.
This cosy room has nice wood floors and is part of a beautiful and big apt, that you would share with Amit and I. The atmosphere in the apt is super nice, we love to receive guests and I think they enjoy experiencing life as a local during their stay as well.
To basically everything. You are very welcome to cook in our well equipped and spacious kitchen, as well as take long bath tubs or whatever you feel like, also don t hesitate to visit us in our rooms if you feel like it, we want you to feel like a real room mate while you are here.
Interaction with Guests
It depends on them actually, I feel their needs and act accordingly, some guests appreciate privacy and are more reserved, so I respect that, and other are more interactive. In either case they are always welcome to join us for dinner, a bier or a dance night out. :)
I love that I live in the calm part of Kopernikusstrasse, it is amazing that here can be so quiet, while just a street away, we can find the energetic Warschauerstrasse. I love to be able to shop (supermarket) 24h a day (I am a late bird). I love the healthy and delicious restaurant options I have all around me. But mostly, I love that I am just 5 min walking from berghain ;)
Easy. We are connected to everywhere with S-bahn, U-bahn and tram connections, no worries about that one.
Other Things to Note
I have a cat, his name is Tiao. You will love him, like everyone does. He is a free cat, he comes and goes from the streets daily, and the all the neighbors know him already :)
Nothing very strict, I just ask you to please smoke in your room, and to let me know if you decide to invite friends to the house, so I don t get scared and scream super loud when finding a stranger in my kitchen hehehe
Marcela was a great host, the house was very clean and warm and very comfortable, also it is in the best area, close to everything, all house mates were very friendly, would definitely stay there again.
Marcela was really friendly when we met and gave us some nice tips to go out in Berlin. We did not interact much with her and Amit during the whole stay, but basically because we were all day away. That was ok with us. The room was clean and cozy, and the location was perfect. Only negative remark: the toilet paper was missing sometimes. For the rest, I totally recommend it. Thanks, guys!! We would have stayed another week ;)
We had a lot of fun staying with Marcela. The room was really nice and clean. Exactly what we looked for.
Marcela was very Friendly and helpful.
Thank you :)
Awesome place with awesome people. Beautiful spacious room, felt right at home, and in the best part of Berlin!
We had a fantastic time in Berlin staying with Marcela and Amit. They are both really cool, interesting and friendly people who helped make our time in Berlin really fun. The room is beautiful- really spacious and clean- and the kitchen and bathroom are also good. The location is fantastic. We would definitely recommend this room to anyone for both long + short stay. Thanks Marcela!
When I first arrived in Berlin, Marcela was quite late calling me back (1.5h) to tell me where she had left the key for me. It was in a nearby shop. The guy there had never heard of me nor Marcela. After some fuss (I don't speak German) and a phone call back to Marcela, I finally got the key. I went in and met Amit. I told him about the key situation and he said, "Oh, yeah, that was me. I didn't know your name, so I just made one up."
Rather than being apologetic, he seemed to treat this more as some sort of "funny story". I literally did not know what to say, so smiled nervously and went to bed.
A couple of days later I knocked on their doors to ask about borrowing a phone charger. Marcela literally shouted at me for waking them up (at 1:30pm in the afternoon...) One reason I chose this house is the following line from its page: "also don t hesitate to visit us in our rooms if you feel like it, we want you to feel like a real room mate while you are here". Hmmm...
Dirty underwear was left on the bathroom floor one day. Another day, there was no bath mat, and I did not dare knock on doors to ask for one after the last time...
Regarding the room, it is fine. The area is also great. I am sure I would have been kinder about the service, had we got off to a better start. The reality however is that I did not feel welcome, and my presence seemed like an inconvenience for them. They seemed to have forgotten that I had actually paid money to be there.
I know this is not a hotel, and things are not going to be perfect. But, the way I see it, if you want a good review, you need to provide a good service.

Hello, I am Marcela, nice to meet you.
I am a Brazilian artist (performer) and curator living in Berlin since 2007.
Since 2011 I am artistically directing a space called Agora, within a collective of other 4 artists. It has been and it still is an amazing experience, and we have been growing to the point of having a whole building for the project. :)
Agora is a very open space, that is mostly dedicated to the development of artistic and entrepreneurial projects, we love to be the meeting point for creative people. Please feel welcome to visit us when you are here!
Besides my work, which is already a very social activity in itself, I am a quite extroversive person, I know a lot of people and networking is one of my strongest points. I love to go out for cultural events, like openings, performances and exhibitions, but love as well to just go for drinks with friends and, like most people in Berlin, for a good dancing session. ;)
Amit, that lives with me and is also my best friend, is one of the loveliest creatures I ever met. He is funny as hell, as well as super talented (he is a professional painter).
We have a great time living together.
My cat is also part of this "WG" (shared apartment). He is a sweet black and white cat, that I adopted in Brazil 7 years ago. He behaves mostly like a dog then like a cat, he receives you at the door when you arrive, is super friendly to everyone and keeps you company. He also loves to go for a walk on the streets and that is perfectly fine, he knows the area and everyone in the building knows him well. Guess we could also call him a social butterfly...it runs in the family. ;)
