The Space

Built in 1898 and renovated in 2012, this house centrally located in the French Quarter boasts classic New Orleans architecture with its original hardwood floors, high ceilings, and shotgun style layout. All major French Quarter attractions, as well as the CBD, marigny, and Armstrong park are within easy walking distance. There is a grocery store on the block, and numerous restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
The house is over 900 sq ft.with two bedrooms: one queen and one full size bed, and one bathroom. Each bedroom has a private entrance to the shared bathroom. Also, in spite of the shotgun style lay-out, there are doors between all rooms, and the house can be entered from the front and back, which means no walking through each others bedrooms if you don't want to. The kitchen has all new, stainless steel appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer and is equipped with all necessities: coffee, dishes, pots & pans, utensils, etc.
The house has central heat & air, with ceiling fans in every room, and Apple TV is provided for streaming television shows and movies.
The house has two private bedrooms, and a queen sized air mattress with plenty of extra linens is available for larger parties. The living room can be closed off to offer more privacy for those who might be making that their quarters.

  • I could not say enough great things about Olivia and her beautiful place. She was so relaxed and helpful about our stay. She obviously put a lot of thought into being a host. The house is great - roomy and comfortable, with two private sleeping areas and comfortable beds. The bathroom was so clean and nice (something that you don't always see in NOLA) and the whole place was perfect to come home to after a long day/night out. Not only that, but the location is just outstanding. It's walking distance to everything in the quarter/Frenchmen but a block away from the hustle and bustle. I slept so soundly. It's a perfect place for two couples or a family. We loved our stay and would come back next time!

  • From our arrival in New Orleans, Olivia was most helpful. She ensured we found secure car parking near by and was very welcoming into her home. The home itself was fantastic. Easily slept 5 adults, with a Lovely kitchen in between. As for location... Wow! Literally a minutes walk to the centre of the action in Bourbon street. We could not have asked for more and using Olivia's place really made our trip to New Orleans a trip we will never forget. Thanks

  • This was my first airbnb experience and it. was. awesome. Booked this place for my girlfriend's 30th and invited two of our friends for everyone's first time in New Orleans.

First off, Olivia is an amazing host. She kept in touch with me up to the date of our arrival and was there to meet us at the front door when our taxi pulled up. She offered us a lot of helpful tips and even texted a couple suggestions later as she thought of them. What a great host, right?

The place is incredible. Real homely feel, super clean, modern fixtures. And you really can't beat the location. You're literally a block away from Bourbon but at the same time, you're at the end of the main strip where the crowds die down a bit so it's not crazy by any means. Just enough foot traffic to feel safe. Convenience store right across the street. Never waited longer than 5-10 minutes for a taxi.

I really can't say more other than that I'd definitely book this place again and that I'm going to recommend this place to all my friends. Olivia really made our first trip to New Orleans really amazing and I can't thank her enough. You will not regret staying here.

  • Olivia as host was very responsive, she allways returned my question within 24 hours. The description of the appartment was clear so there were no supprises at our arrivel. After been there a few days she text me asking if everything was alright and if we needed anything, that was sweet. At our departure she arranged for a cab to the airport.

  • Olivia's townhouse in the French Quarter is a fabulous place to stay. The location is perfect---close to every place you want to go. She had the place sparkling clean, well stocked, and beds are super comfy. Plus Olivia quickly answers questions and is readily available if you need her. A half block away is a corner market that has most everything you need, not to mention some great carry-out home-cooked Southern food (just like your grandma made). Four of us just returned from four days at her place while participating in a wedding (fun, fun, fun). Have a fantastic time in the French Quarter while staying at Olivia's!

  • This apartment is terrific. It's in a great neighborhood with easy access to everything in the French Quarter, but just far enough off the main tourist beat so it's fairly quiet. The furnishings are exactly as pictured, so the home retains its vintage charm (look at those gorgeous fireplaces!) but has modern amenities (a washer and dryer, dishwasher).

Olivia was a gracious host - attentive, quick to respond both before and during our stay, super friendly, flexible and accommodating with our constantly changing itinerary, and at the ready with suggestions to make our stay memorable.

We would definitely stay here again!

  • This is the perfect French Quarter location. It is walking distance to everything! Very safe, cute apartment, only half a block to the quieter end of Bourbon St. and less than 10 minute to Jackson Square. Plenty of room for two couples. The setup is great because you can access the back bedroom through a side entrance without having to walk through the front bedroom. Olivia was an incredibly responsive and helpful host. She wasn't around when we checked-in, but she was available by text the entire weekend. She even recommended a few great places to eat while were there. I would definitely recommend this location and would stay here again the next time I'm in New Orleans.

  • Olivia was a great host and made sure we were comfortable and was willing to answer any questions we had. The home was very comfortable and roomy for my family and very convenient to experience the French Quarter and other New Orleans sites. I highly recommend her and this location to anybody looking to have a fun, worry free vacation. :)

  • Great host, great apartment. Olivia met us when we got in late, kept in touch during our stay, and was super flexible when we needed to check out late in the day because of our travel schedule. The apartment was big, comfortable, fully equipped, and well located - as other reviews say, even though it's a block for bourbon street there was no street noise at all (though the wall with the neighboring apartment is reasonably thin...) A great stay - I would happily come back for a later visit to New Orleans.
