  • We absolutely loved staying here! The apartment is wonderful - cozy, sunny, nice & clean. Breakfast was great - cereal, yogurt, snacks, orange juice, & best of all, Silvia made us our own little breakfast cake! So perfect. :)

Located in a little Italian apartment complex, it's also really quiet. The bed is comfy & we slept really really well here. Be prepared to go up a lot of stairs to get there. It wasn't a problem at all for us as it was quiet & meant a nicer view, but just so you know, there is no elevator. The view out of the window is very pretty though. Worth all those stairs. :)

The apartment is a bit far away from the tourist center of Rome, but you probably knew that from the description. I will add that it's not super close to a metro station either though. Lovely area to walk in though, near the river, there are lots of trees, & it's easy to get to & from the center without getting lost. Overall a great location as long as you don't mind walking. I would say that it's approximately a half an hour walk from St. Peter's Basilica to the apartment.

Ivan & Silvia are super wonderful. Really really nice people who took great care of us. My only wish is that we had gotten to know them a bit better! Their apartment is filled with so many interesting things & they were so nice when we did talk to them. Really great people. They also speak English very well, in case you were wondering.

Overall, I highly recommend this lovely place & would stay here again! :)

  • Silvia and Ivan are very welcoming and took good care of me. The room, bathroom and living space were clean and spacious. They provided breakfast and coffee every day. I particularly appreciated the wifi connection since I was in Rome for work. The location was very convenient for me because it is a 10 min walk to the Auditorium where I had an event. Thank you again Ivan for helping me carry my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs. :-)

  • Heeeeey! Ivan and Silvia are super cool. They were very kind and generous. They were infinitely accommodating and hospitable. It was a really comfortable place to stay, although not as central as I would have liked. You have to get a bus to the metro station and bus routes can be quite confusing. The location was made very clear to me beforehand though. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay and recommend this place to anyone unafraid of a bit of public transport.
    P.s breakfast was good :-)

  • Great memory of our time in Rome. Silvia was the perfect host and gave us all the insider knowledge we need to enjoy this amazing city. Recommended!

  • Silvia's apartment is a great place to stay when visiting Rome. She's an excellent host who will go above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable during your stay. She provides a nice breakfast every morning, maps, directions, and recommendations for whatever you would like to do, and access to a lovely living room. It was hot when I visited and she went out and bought a fan for my bedroom to keep cool, which was much appreciated. The view from the bedroom is really nice as well. Would certainly visit again and really appreciate the hospitality!

  • Silvia's apartment whilst very clean had a few major problems for us. Firstly the distances to the places of interest are exaggerated and you will walk ALOT more than you intend! Secondly, unless you are prepared to be home by 8.30PM the night bus system for getting to her place is basically non-existent! We had to ask a policeman for a lift home in desperation at 2.30 AM! Also the apartment is unbearably HOT with no fan provided so sleeping is not easy!

Unless you know Rome well OR you love walking long distances... my advice is find somewhere else to sleep.

  • Beautiful location and wonderful hosts!

Silvia and Ivan were kind and accommodating during our stay in Rome. The location was within earshot of the Vatican and they gave us a nice, clean space to relax after our travels around Rome. The bus was located right outside of their gated community and we were in the city center within ten minutes. We certainly felt at home during our stay- nice sheets to sleep on and the bathroom was spotless (I am a very neat person and give my seal of approval!) and the price was more than reasonable for the Prati district. Do not hesitate to stay here if you wish to visit Rome!

  • We had a very good stay with Silvia and Ivan although we got lost on the bus system while finding our way to her apartment. After texting with Silvia she graciously picked us up in her car although this is very difficult to do in Rome. Her apartment is very clean and she left with breakfast items every morning. We did not see much of them during the stay but when we did she was always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
