New Air Conditioner Installed and works great!
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!
LIVE LIKE A NEW YORKER!
NOTE: More than 4 people will be rather tight. it will involve squeezing in air beds!
This is a PRIVATE studio apartment on 2nd Ave and 76th St. This location I top notch! It's right in the heart of Manhattans Upper East Side. The apartment itself is clean and basic. It has a double bed and a double sofa bed, air conditioned, linens, dishes, pots, pans, refrigerator, microwave, oven/cooking stove, wifi, NO TV though.
It's close to the museums, Central Park, famous shops, and metro/subway which are all within 5-10 minute walks. Tons of reasonably priced bars and restaurants around with lots of diverse choice.
I should add that the apartment is 4 levels up and there is no elevator. The apartment is probably most well suited for up to 4 people, either a family or 2 couples who really just want a simple, clean, affordable place in an AWESOME location. I have always been a budget minded traveler and I really strive to make the place affordable so budget minded travelers can see this great city and get to stay in a really TOP LOCATION for a reasonable price. I can also provide you with an extra air matress if needed.
And whether you stay in the apartment or not...enjoy the energy that is NYC!
UPDATE: I really appreciate the positive feedback. Reading most of my reviews one will notice some common themes, namely:
That pretty much describes the place. It's no frills! My goal is to provide a clean apartment in a TOP location. For a group of 4-6 people, that means you get your own apartment in one of the best NYC neighborhoods for the price of a hostel in Brooklyn. It's for this reason I try to keep the costs down so I can keep the cost low for the guests.
My MAIN priority is really cleanliness, and my cleaning lady does a VERY thorough job.
All kinds of goods and services are very expensive in NYC. Its for this reason I ask that people not use the extra linens as this messes up my cleaning lady's karma and adds to the expense.

A really nice place to visit NYC! We spent 7 days in David's apartment. It was really close to the city (subway) and to several restaurants. David is really friendly and helpful. We had a little problem but David said quickly what we have to do and helped us to go back to the airport!!! Thanks you so much ;-) The apartment is very silent too. What a wonderful week!
Just a fantastic experience! 2nd Avenue with 76? Great!
David is always available to help you in any doubt!
David is very friendly and helpful, the apartment is good enough for people who want to enjoy New York city and have a good place to stay. I would recommend this apartment for my friends.
David is really helpful and friendly and his place is nice. Great location with such a low price. My friends and I stayed there for 3 days and it was great. I definitely recommend David's place.
L'appartement de David est très bien situé à proximité du métro qui dessert les lignes 4 5 6. Petit supermarché, bars et restaurants juste en bas. A recommander
The apartment is clean and spacious. However it would be good to have some hooks in the toilet for hanging of clothes when showering. Also it would help if the host or Airbnb can indicate the floor level so that people who are not used to USA will know. My family and I had to climb 5 levels with our huge luggages as New York was our last stop.
I have rented the studio for four days in January , the place was adequate , was enough for my family of four.
place is renovated , neighborhood is alive with access to bus and train transportation, as well as many options for food.
I would consider staying there again, maybe when I'm travelling alone since the no elevator issue did not suit neither my kids, nor me .
Dave was accessible , flexible and even welcomed my late night check in since I was driving back from upstate and encouraged me to call at any time if I needed.
HOST AND APPARTMENT CONDITIONS: After more than a year using Airbnb in different locations, you can recognize the perfect host inmediatly. David is one of them. One of the most important things for me is that the host is always reachable in case there is any problem, and he was always quick to answer my messeges either online or on the phone; also he came across as very patient and nice...(we sometimes are afraid that we are bothering the person too much... - people like me at least - and he made it easy and open to ask anything. The second thing is that I appreciate it A LOT when the appartment is and has exactly what was told in the add. David´s appatment #14 was perfect in this sense. We found everything we needed and more, and you could tell that he puts a lot of effort in things being perfect for the guests.
LOCATION: two blocks away from the metro, easy to walk and well connected. Line 6 takes you downtown and to Lower Manhanttan directly. Also, Lexington avenue is full of shops and restaurants and Central Park, the Gugghenhein and the Metropolitan are walking distance, honestly. Also, there are some nice bars and restaurants in THE SAME BLOCK as the appartment. We had dinner twice at the Stumble Inn, which is downstairs and it is nice if you want a really "american college experience". Nice prices, american sports bar food and specials everynight. And people playing beer-pong at the back. Nice piece of american "traditions" hard to find in the big city.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Totally recommended!!! Price/location/quality wise, this might be the best offer in Manhattan :)
We had a wonderful trip. The appartment was in good condition. David was always very helpful.
Clean, basic apartment in a fun neighborhood! Very close to subway, easy walk to the park, and lots of food and bars in the area to explore. Very basic, no-frills furnishing, but absolutely does the job if you're looking for an affordable place to crash.
