The Space

Comfortable, Convenient and Clean are just some of the adjectives to describe this 2 bedroom / 2 bath Non-Smoking condo. The spacious 3rd floor balcony looks straight out over the wide Windy Hill beach and is the perfect place to sit and have breakfast while you enjoy the gorgeous Atlantic sunrise. And when you're ready to get in the waves, the beach is just a quick walk down the steps and over the dunes. If the pool is more to your liking, Ocean Pier 4 has a beautiful oceanfront pool with plenty of lounge chairs and seating areas. After a fun-filled day of water play, satisfy your robust appetite at one of the hundreds of local restaurants of every cuisine and price range. In the evening, why not check out a show at the Alabama Theater just over a mile away or head 3 miles down the road to Tanger Outlets for some shopping or just stay home and watch a DVD movie on the big screen TV. Everything you could want in a beach vacation is convenient to this Windy Hill condo so you can make this trip as active or as laid back as you want!

Our condo features a fully equipped full size kitchen with a glass top stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, double sink with disposal, coffee maker, blender, toaster and all the pots, pans and dishes needed to cook and serve typical meals for 6 people. The kitchen is separated from the 4 person dining table (email hidden) that seats 2 more.

The living room has a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa and an entertainment center with a big screen TV connected to basic analog (Time Warner) cable and a DVD player.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a small oceanfront balcony, a private full bath (shower-only) and a TV that offers basic analog cable.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed also.

The in-condo washer/dryer is also a great convenience for washing beach towels and bathing suits at the end of the day. If you would like to avoid the hassle of bringing your own linens, we will be happy to provide them for a small fee of $25 (what our cleaning service charges us to wash them). The linens we provide includes 2 sets of queen sheets (1 for each bedroom), 2 hand towels (1 for each bathroom), 8 bath towels and 8 wash cloths.

From June 1st to August 17th, we only accept weekly rentals that run from Saturday to Saturday.

Pricing shown already includes the 12% state and local taxes we must pay on every rental. Any host that isn't paying these taxes could have their property seized before you check-in so make sure you're comparing apples-to-apples for your own safety.

Please note, this condo is not handicap accessible. The view is beautiful, but it is on the 3rd floor and the building does not have elevators. Also, please bring your cell phone for emergencies because the condo does not have phone service. The cell signal in the condo is good to excellent for most national carriers and Verizon has recently added 4G service to the area.

Motorcycles and trailers are not allowed in the parking lot and will be towed by the homeowners association. Only condo owners are allowed to bring golf carts onto the property.

We rent to responsible adults over the age of 25. Children of our guests are certainly welcome.

  • An amazing trip. The condo had amazing views and was exactly what we were looking for in a beachfront condo. Very low key with a focus on the beach. Fantastic biking potential with the condo being on a bike route. Will look here first for our next Myrtle Beach trip!

  • My wife and I had a very relaxing time at this condo. The five days went by way too quickly. It was so calming being so close to the beach. In fact we spent more time on the balcony than we did actually on the beach… The patio chairs were comfortable but a lounger or two would be fantastic… My wife and I joked that a hammock on the balcony would have been way cool, but we imagined the condo rules and the limited space on the balcony prohibited this… But we can always dream, right? For a few observations about the condo: It was clean and did not have any musty smells that were mentioned in an earlier review. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils but a larger spaghetti strainer would be a nice upgrade. The shower off the main bedroom could be upgraded. Although it was clean and functional, the showerhead is a bit low on the wall, the door was wobbly and shower floor stained… The second bathroom tub could use some anti-slip surface installed. The AC units worked great. We used the included PC once to surf the web, but it kept getting “errors on the page”. So, perhaps the browser could be updated. Our iPad worked fine on the sites using the free WiFi.. The DVD (no blueray) player has a surround sound speaker system–nice. The new microfiber couch in the front room was very comfortable. The pool was nice. We tried the steakhouse that Ed suggested… Fantastic steaks. Best we’ve had in a long time… All-in-all, we had a great time at this condo and will consider going again…

  • The Condo worked perfectly for us and our two grand-daughters, ages 16 and 18. We especially loved being right on the beach and the girls had a great time in the pool as well. The kitchen is exceptionally well furnished with plenty of pots and pans, serving dishes, and eating utensils. We appreciated having the washer and dryer on site.

  • My boyfriend and I had a nice, relaxing time when we stayed at Ed & Kathryn's condo in April 2014. The location is absolutely ideal for anyone who loves being by the ocean. We honestly felt like we had the best view of Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle beach combined. North Myrtle Beach is a lot quieter than Myrtle, which we really liked. At the same time, there's lots to do and Myrtle Beach is not far away for those looking for more action. We liked the condo and while the layout is simple, we had everything we needed. For me personally, being able to watch the waves and hear the sound of the ocean while cooking in the kitchen was a lovely experience. Another positive aspect of this booking was how pleasant and professional Ed was in all his communication with me. He answered all my questions in a timely, thorough manner and even provided us with extra info about nearby restaurants, etc. It's definitely worth checking out this condo!

  • I've stayed at a few places now, so I have a few for comparison. This condo is older, but clean. The location can't be beat, I fell asleep to the sound of the surf every night. I woke up early to do yoga on the beach at 0630, no one bothered me until about 0700 when a few joggers and people enjoying coffee began to amble about. I came in the off season so I wasn't pestered by tourists. Plenty of great local places to eat. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was bringing my own linen or paying for their linen. Being alone it was quite a feat carrying all of my things, linens and groceries up and down those flights of stairs. Ended up forgetting a towel so I bought one at those chintzy souvenir places. I'm sure people coming with families won't find this an issue. Kitchen was mostly stocked, but could use a few utensils for seafood. I wouldn't bring a romantic date here, but again, the location was wonderful, I loved the sound of the waves right outside the window. Would probably come again for a personal get away.

  • This property sits almost in the ocean! LOVE it’s location and it’s front-yard-ocean experience.

When we arrived here, however, there was a strong musty smell, and the owners worked w/us to move us to a condo that had the same great front-yard-ocean experience. They said they would address this issue in the future, and w/the integrity they showed us, we feel they will.

Also, the pictures of the property looked fresher than the property, but we feel this will be addressed also. Edward and Kathryn were great to deal with and showed real concern about our issues.

  • We loved this place! This apartment is very spacious and cozy, comfortable even for 6 guests. I especially want to note the large round table at which we were placed together. We loved the big kitchen and a balcony with easy chairs and a beautiful view of the ocean.
Edward and Kathryn were very friendly and attentive, they responded immediately to any request. I recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!

  • Nice rental place. Has a kids-friendly pool and is right on the beach. All basic amenities are included. The beach is gorgeous and has a life guard. Plenty of water slide park in the vicinity. Good time!

  • It's true. The view is amazing. We never did sit on the beach. The patio is right over the beach, the view is wonderful. Why get all sandy when you can enjoy it all from a beautiful lanai, with comfortable chairs?

This is a great value. Probably because of the 3 flights of stairs. If you're not in shape, don't like exercise, pass on this one. On the other hand, if you see stairs as an opportunity to burn some calories, you won't mind climbing them. My advice is to haul the MINIMUM to the condo - leave the rest in your car, and get as needed.

We were there in April - no crowds. Brought beach chairs and left them in the car. During the summer you can rent chairs & umbrellas from the local vendor on the beach.

Note to renters - coffee filters & TP filters only are supplied - so be sure to bring all your own supplies. Not a complaint, just FYI.

Would most definitely return. We LOVED our stay here. Thanks to our hosts

  • Our stay was fabulous! We had a great time and it was a great location. It wasn't too far from myrtle beach, and stores in case you need stuff! I would definitely go back here again! The people we rented it from are very nice and friendly and will help you with finding a place to eat to telling you everything you need to know! I loves that it was oceanfront that made it, to be honest; because, then we didn't have to drive to get to the beach we walked down the stairs and were there. It had a pool, a good size balcony and it was just overall a fantastic stay!!

Edward and Kathryn live in Durham, NC. Edward is a software engineering consultant and Kathryn is a manager at UNC Hospitals. We spent some of the most enjoyable days of our youth in North Myrtle Beach and many years ago I asked Kathryn to marry me while watching the moonrise over the ocean in NMB. Owning a place down there was a lifelong dream of ours that we were finally able to fulfill in 2005. We hope you enjoy our place as much as we have.
