They are separated from the rest of the house by 2 doors that can be closed to give you your own private suite. The front door opens into the foyer so you have your own entrance, should you choose to use it. A key to the front door will be provided, upon request, if you stay more than one night. There is a shared bathroom in the hall. Towels and linens are provided. Another twin and queen mattress are also available to accommodate up to 6 guests.
You're welcome to make yourself at home and have use of the kitchen, living spaces, and washer and dryer, just please tidy up after yourself. There aren't any TVs, but there are many books that you are welcome to borrow from off the shelves and peruse at your leisure.
There is wireless internet throughout the house. If you need to print something, let me know and I can print it for you from the desktop in the den.
Interaction with Guests
I am fun loving, easy going, and friendly. I enjoy having conversations and hanging out with my guests, but I understand the need for space and privacy. My default is to follow my guest(s) lead in how much or little interaction they want.
I love going on adventures and doing outdoorsy types of activities, and I'm always up for a hike at the state park. I sometimes have a slackline setup in the yard if you'd like to give it a go :P I also enjoy going downtown to hang out, chill at coffee shops and try new restaurants. I'm always interested in trying something new and am happy to provide recommendations for places to visit or restaurants to try. I may be able to show you around, but I'm in the middle of studying for board exams so that would depend on my study schedule.
The house is located a quiet suburban neighborhood in Taylors, SC. The neighborhood is nice and safe, full of mature trees and lovely for taking in a stroll. The neighbors are friendly, and will often wave or say hello.
The house is within 15-30 minutes of pretty much everything:
Greenville Spartanburg Airport: 20-25 minutes
Downtown Greenville (including Falls Park On the Reedy, Bi-Lo Center, Peace Center): 15-20 minutes
Paris Mountain State Park: 10-15 minutes
Bob Jones University: 10-15 minutes
Furman University: 15-20 minutes
Further afield, but close enough for a day trip:
Table Rock State Park: 45 min
Caesars Head State Park 45 min
Asheville, NC: 1hr 10 min
Charlotte, NC: 1hr 45 min
Atlanta, GA: 2hrs 30 min
Charleston, SC: 3hrs 15 min
If you don't have a car and would be needing transportation to or from any destination, let me know ahead of time and I can see if I can arrange my schedule to accommodate :D There is a bus stop for the Greenlink, Greenville's public transportation system, a 15 minute walk from the house. It is on Route 11 and it is a 20 minute ride to downtown Greenville. Downtown Greenville has a bike share program (B-cycle) that has 6 stations with 28 bicycles available to rent. The daily rate is $5 (or $15/week) and the first 60 minutes are free. This is a great way to explore downtown and the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 17.5 mile multi-use trail system.
Other Things to Note
I have 2 dogs, so you must love or at least be tolerant of dogs. Their names are Vasco and Nova. Vasco is a Sheltie who's friendly without being over the top, while Nova's new to the family and loves meeting new people and being silly. You are welcome to bring your pet with you as long as they are up to date with their vaccinations, housebroken, and friendly with dogs.

This review is for our second stay at Grace's home in a 4 day period. As with the first visit, everything was just fine. There was one major difference this time. We left town and realized about 50 minutes out that my wedding ring had been left in the bathroom. We called Grace and she was quickly able to locate the ring. Within hours, she had mailed it to our home in Virginia. We later received it, attached to a nice card welcoming us to stay there again in the future. Grace is just an awesome host. If you are looking for a nice place in a quiet neighborhood, with a kind host and at a good price, this is it.
Grace was a great host. We were on the road and looking for a place to stay inexpensively for a night. We called ahead and when we arrived, she came outside and even helped us bring our belongings inside. She provided all the details we needed in a lengthy email before we arrived. Grace made us feel at home and we would recommend her to anyone seeking a comfortable and affordable option on their way through South Carolina.
The listing description was accurate. The rooms were extremely clean and the host was welcoming. The neighborhood felt very safe and it was very pretty there as well. Lots of trees. It was very quiet inside the house and we all had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was very clean and the Grace provided towels and a small basket of toiletries which was nice because we did not have soap and shampoo. Very grateful for our stay with this host. It was wonderful.
It is truly an enjoyable stay! The room is in good size and the bed is so comfy. Grace is a wonderful host! She briefly introduce me the facilities and prepare some daily goodies for guest to use if needed. I will recommend this place for other travelers.
The listing description is very accurate. The house is in a nice neighborhood and is kept very clean. Grace was a great host, very helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend staying here!
I had a great time in Grace's home! She had everything I could possibly need already set up for me, not to mention that she was totally hospitable. The room was spacious and cozy; I didn't have to worry about getting a good night's sleep. It was very much like being back home in my own bed.
This was my second time staying with Grace. Her place has been lovely both times.

I'm a home grown American, raised on the East coast and recently transplanted to the West, but back on the East for the time being. I've spent the past few years traveling and living around the world for school, and thus discovered my love of travel. Most recently, I just returned stateside after living in the UK for 2 years.
I am a bit spontaneous, thrill-seeking, ridiculous, energetic, curious, fun-loving, optimistic, quirky, and a bit of an adrenaline junkie. But this doesn't mean I'm go-go-go! all the time either :) I'm easy going and chill. I enjoy hanging out and talking with my flatmate(s) but I am respectful of personal space and privacy. I'm friendly, open, honest, responsible, considerate, and have gotten on great with all of my housemates in the past. I'm not a freak about cleanliness, but I like to keep things fairly clean and organized, especially when it comes to shared spaces. I love animals and have 3 dogs out West and 2 with me now. I have lived with vet students where we've had a range of numerous animals roaming the house at one time from dogs and cats to lizards, goats, and even a cow once! I love to travel, explore, and experience new things. I also enjoy cooking, photography, art, most sports, outdoorsy stuff, hiking, etc.
