  • Location is ideal with stunning view and quick walk into town. Good idea to grab a taxi up if you've got a lot of luggage (~60 NIO) but otherwise no need as hill quickly surmounted. Beautiful, calm dog and welcoming and helpful hosts. With the BBQ and microwave/tea station it is possible to be quite self contained. We have left with ownly glowing memories. The shower is hot, the pool is cool.

  • Casa Andulacia was a really nice place to stay. The view is incredible and the location was close to town in a barrio with a real feel of local culture. The host was very nice and helped us with recommendations and information about the area, restaurants and local attractions. As dog lovers, Mano was an awesome bonus, friendly and fun. Good place, good host, good times.

  • We stayed at Rosi's place on our last night in Nicaragua. The little cottage is basic, but the shower has hot water and everything you need including beach towels (in addition to towels for bathing) which was a nice touch. The view, as mentioned by other guests, is truly spectacular and there are two nice chairs right outside the door where you can sit and take it all in. Because we were only there for one night we, unfortunately, did not get the chance to swim in the infinity pool but it looked very inviting. We also did not find the walk too strenuous, especially for a short stay, and enjoyed walking through the local neighborhood on our way into town. We didn't get to meet Rosi (did meet her husband briefly), but check-in and check-out were very hassle free. I would recommend Casa Andalucia to anyone stopping through SJDS.

  • Me and a friend spent 10 nights in Rosi's and Mike's appartment and it was definately the perfect choice for us in San Juan del Sur. We really appreciated the view over the bay and the calm invironment (as San Juan del Sur 'downtown' can be a little noisy in the mornings). We were positively surprised by the outdoor gym, that we used every morning (many times in good company of mano the lovely dog). The appartment it self was superclean, very lovely and had everything we needed. We would definately come back!!!

  • I stayed a month at Casa Andalucia and had a wonderful time.

Pros: stunning views overlooking the town, comfy king size bed, the pool is spectacular, the grounds are kept in tip top shape, hot shower, I could go on and on. Most importantly Rosi and Mike are great hosts, and Mano (the dog) is fun to have around.

Addt'l notes: the hike up the hill is as described in other comments, but hey it's good exercise (you can jump in the pool afterwards!), and you'll get used to it... or just take a cab for a few bucks. Because of the lack of a full kitchen I'd recommend it more for shorter stays, but I did make do just fine with the mini fridge, microwave and dishware provided. Only other thing to note is the frequent rooster crowing and dogs barking (bring earplugs), but you'd hear these if you stayed most anywhere in town I imagine.

    Thanks again for everything.

  • Rosi was a great host and her place was amazing. The view is to die for and is one of the main things that keeps tugging at me to move down there. Highly recommended.

  • The main selling point of this property is the view with the infinity pool. Really gorgeous views of san juan del sur, and we felt like the guesthouse had everything required for our stay in San Juan Del sur. Rosi was a great host. I can confirm that their dog does not bark or make noise in the morning. This is nicaragua, so barking dogs are to be expected.

  • We had an amazing time staying at Rosi's place! The view was fantastic, almost unbelievable, and it's only a short walk from town. Rosi and Mike couldn't be nicer or more helpful as well. They gave us great suggestions about where to go eat, drink, etc. Plus they're just cool folks to share a beer with.

I really enjoyed our time here, and my only regret was having to leave!

  • The place to be in San Juan! Rosi was a very welcoming host and always eager to share lots of helpful information on the surrounding area. Her estate is just a short 5min walk away from the town center and offers a stunning view on the bay.

    Would definitely stay here again

About
Michael and I fell in love with Nicaragua two years ago and decided to build a house and call it home. We have travelled extensively around the world and think that San Juan Del Sur rocks! It has the best weather along with the friendliest people. Their is never a dull moment with so much to do in and around the area. We both worked and continue to work in the private luxury yachting industry and understand high quality as well as good hospitality. We know that you will enjoy your stay and have plenty of privacy with the occasional visit from our very friendly dog, Mano who loves humans, don't worry he doesn't bark unless his toy is in the pool. We look forward to hosting you!
