Salima's apartment is located in an ideal spot in SF; it really couldn't get much better than this! The apartment is spacious, and worked out well for our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids aged 5 and 2. The kids slept together in one of the rooms on the queen bed, and had a blast with that. It is an older Victorian style home, so you can't go in there expecting an ultra modern, newly built home. But honestly, that is part of the charm that is Pac Heights in SF :-). The exception though, is the bathroom which has been very nicely remodeled.
Salima was a great host. We did have an issue upon our arrival, but Salima was very quick to resolve it. She showed great attention and care to our inconvenience and I believe went above and beyond to remedy it.
She also made herself extremely available throughout our entire stay. She quickly responded to all of our questions via text, which was really great of her.
On our last night, we hosted a dinner with my cousins. While the apt doesn't have an actual common living space, the dining room was great for that.
All in all, it was everything we needed to have a great week in SF!
Nice functional apartment in great location with good restaurants close by but let down in several ways.
Full glass door on a bedroom really isnt the best idea (personal opinion) the same bedroom is in need of some storage (hanging rail, drawers) repair to the heating in that room and a really good clean especially behind the curtain where mold is present. No lock on the bathroom door is inconvenient but the bathroom is lovely modern and spotless. No handle on the inside of the second bedroom door, but fine spacious rooms with sinks. Cobwebs on the ceilings really don't appeal to me when renting a "modern apartment". The air pump for the extra bed doesnt work but luckily our 5th was small enough for the comfy sofa's in both rooms, when renting for 5 people enough cutlery for that number is essential.
The welcome pack would be a nice touch except for the mostly out of date items.
Communication was poor as I tried to contact Salima 3 times prior to arrival to arrange late check out, we finally did agree a later time to depart (Thanks this was very helpful) only to recieve a call on the day of departure wondering why we hadnt left at 11am as per AirBNB terms as the cleaners were outside. This was quickly resolved but again poor communication.
We did enjoy our stay and if the little things were addressed I would rent again for my next SF trip.
Great location right near Fillmore. Apartment was lovely and as pictured. The bathroom looks newly redone. Do be prepared for lots of stairs, which is typical of San Francisco!
Salima was very responsive to any of my questions, As I'm from Singapore, I got into a trouble with parking. The location was clean and comfortable and very close to supermarket and attractions. Also a very safe neighbourhood.
The only problem would be the stairs. It's a long flight of stairs up to her apartment so be prepared if you have heavy luggages.
You have to be careful with the parking along the street. I had my car towed away while parking there.
Salima is a great host. The place is really nice. Location is very nice. It's only a block away from Filmore which has some great shopping. I look forward to staying here again.
The host informed us of how to enter the apartment well in advance. There was a welcome note with personal contact information from the host. The apt was clean and linens fresh. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and the apt was perfectly situated in Pac Heights. Thank you!

As a San Francisco native I LOVE this city and am always finding myself trying new restaurants or hoping over to Marin to hike or kayak around the bay! I am big on the outdoors too and my dog Sasha and I have a lot of fun hiking around the hills of SF.
A little known fact I love Mexican food and could honestly eat tacos everyday! :)
