Welcome to Hong Kong, a buzzing metropolis by day and a neon galaxy by night. There is so much to do and explore and no better place to do it from than Causeway Bay.
It is the perfect location for you no mater why you have come to Hong Kong.
This studio apartment is ideal for an individual or a couple and iswell equipped with everything you'll need for your home away from home: soft sheets, fluffy towels, a mini kitchen, bathroom, TV, WiFi, guidebooks, and character.
Smack in the middle of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong's shopping and eating centre, our apartment is a fantastic place from which to base yourself during your trip to Hong Kong. Restaurants, shopping centres, boutiques and cafés abound and transport is plentiful- in less than 2 minutes walk you can get to the MTR station(subway), buses and electric trams. :)
My wife and I had a fun time preparing the apartment for your arrival and we have tried our best to anticipate what you will need during your trip. We are available to help you make the most of your stay!
The apartment is small but incredibly comfortable.
In the studio bedroom/living room you'll find:
a double bed with a brand new very comfortable mattress (a little smaller than doubles in the West, it is 4' x 6'/180cm X 120cm)
a bench and modular table (I made it myself :)
a TV (local channels-- 2 English channels-- but hopefully you'll be too busy exploring HK to use it :))
free WiFi (super fast broadband network)
a quiet air conditioner
In the Kitchenette you'll find:
a Mini fridge
a single burner induction stove
an electric kettle
coffees, teas, snacks and drinks
beer, wine and spirits
In the Bathroom you'll find:
a hair dryer
220 volt outlets
a plug adapter for your gadgets (not a voltage converter)
shampoo and shower gel (bring your own conditioner if you need it)
We look forward to hosting you!
Check in is after 2pm and check out is before 12 noon. I'm happy to accommodate early check in and late check out as long as I don't have guests arriving/departing on the same days.

Excellent location, right on Hennessy Road and around the corner from Causeway Bay Plaza, but quiet apart from the occasional noise from neighbours' water pipes (earplugs are provided if you're really sensitive, but I didn't need them). Clean apartment, comfortable bed, good water pressure and hot shower. Alex was a great host -- when the internet connection wasn't working properly one morning, he sent someone over to fix it before we got back in the afternoon. I'd definitely stay here again on future trips. Sure it's small, but I've stayed in smaller hotel rooms in Hong Kong that cost nearly two-thirds more.
One note: The bed was fine for the two of us but might be a tight fit for two larger people.
It was a pleasant stay at Alex's apartment. It was very neat and tidy and all necessities was provided. Place was very convenient and easy to locate. Will definitely stay again if revisit to HK.
Third stay at Alex’s place and second time in this studio – last visit was just a month ago. Again, everything worked out excellently. Special shoutout to Alex for contacting me to find out if I managed to reach the studio (I had left him a message earlier to let him know that I got in but he didn’t received it). Some of the “minor irritations” from my last stay was sorted out eg water heater (though you’ll need to shower quickly coz the hot water coming thru doesn’t last long; still need to work on this! :P); ear plug (for the drilling, hammering in the early mornings – there was still some buzzing over the weekend but much reduced).
It was chilly (at least for this gal from the tropics!) on 2 of the days – around 9-11C – and I wish there was a heater. I remember spotting a portable one in the WanChai and thought I requested for one? Hmm…could have made things a lot more comfy. So it was all wrapped up and hiding under the comforter at night.
The room was great, a bit small but that has to be expected in HK. Everything was clean and there were no strange smells in the building that are often a problem in HK apartments. We had a great stay and Alex was a really helpful host. Thanks Alex. We'll be back.
We had a great Time staying in Alex's studio. The location was great right in causeway bay and steps from the MTR. The apartment itself was very clean with a comfy bed and nice bathroom. Alex was quick to respond to any questions we had and he gave a some great dim sum recommendations. For the price you can't go wrong. We'll definently be staying there again next time we are in hong kong.
Must be great if you keep booking with the same person, right? Yup, second time but at a different location and Alex didn’t disappoint.
-Location. Can't get any better than this. Down the road from HK island’s shopping paradise (Times Square, Sogo, Hysan Place, Lee Theater, Lee Gardens etc) and Victoria Park (if you fancy running though the loop is pretty small – less than 1km).
-Location. Again. 2 min walk from CWB MTR and you can pretty much go anywhere in HK with the MTR. Also bus stops along entire stretch of the road.
-Communication. Can’t possibly go wrong with the directions and info sent by Alex and he even includes pictures and arrows! And always available to answer any questions you may have, not only on the studio but things in general. I remembered having a bunch of questions about directions to an event I was heading to last year and restaurants/eats for vegans etc.
-Clean. That’s a priority for me. Was there over the weekend and since it was a short stay and was alone, place was manageable. Not sure if there’ll be cleaning services if you’re staying longer.
-Amenities. Clean towels (2 sets), linen. And drinks! Though I should have asked him to stock up on Perrier (more I mean) in place of Cokes. If you fancy wines, there are 2 bottles sitting ready for you.
-Utensils. And a hot plate if you fancy cooking but HK is such a great city for amazing Chinese food, I would say go out. Maybe a microwave would be an added bonus
-Rails for clothes. No cupboard but there were rails and hangers if you need to put up your clothes. I kind of like this open concept better because it meant I won’t leave clothes behind (it has happened before!).
Could be better (this is probably isolated for me or the studio):
-Hammering. Constant buzzing and hammering around 4-5am on Saturday and 5am on Sunday. Golly! It seemed like it came from the next room or the place just under the next room. Major trip spoiler.
-TV reception. Mine was “snowy” and I couldn’t adjust it. It wasn’t a problem at the Wan Chai place, so I was surprised.
-Hot water in the shower. Water didn’t really heat up, it was just slightly above room temps. When it did heat up, it was only for a short while. I was lucky I had access to a nearby gym and could shower there.
-Space. This isn’t really a con since I was alone and I’m pretty much used to HK standards aka small. It could be a tight fit for 2 tall and larger persons but then again, you’re not supposed to be in the studio for ages.
Alex, do hope these can be ironed out as I’ll be back in a couple of weeks! See…what did I say about repeat stays in a fab place?!
From the start, Alex was always quick to respond and extremely helpful with all my enquiries. He provided very detailed instructions so getting there was completely hassle free. The room was exactly as described in the pics, and although small, was well equipped with everything we would've wanted for our stay. Only criticisms are that no hot water came out of the bathroom basin tap and the detachable showerhead was at times difficult to mount against the wall, but other than those minor issues I would highly recommend this room for anyone planning a trip to HK. Causeway bay is a fantastic location if you're after plenty of shops and places to eat, and as the appt is in the centre of Causeway Bay and about a minute walk to the MTR, the location is also perfect!
Lovely place to stay. Great location. Small yet spacious and takes care of all your needs. Alex and his wife has actually done up the place really nicely and have planned to take care of your needs while you stay there. Impressive wood work by Alex and very smart utilisation of space. There is a window and it makes all the difference. We got little stuck finding the place as our taxi chap dropped us one turn before. We called Alex and he immediately gave us exact directions. Thanks Alex, we had a great time.
Alex was such a great host. Everything was exactly where he described (very detailed instructions and guides!). The place was great! Had everything that I needed. Would definitely stay here again!
