The Bacio del Sole B&B is surrounded by scented lemon groves and vineyards, its view of Positano and al the coast line to Li Galli island and Capri is breathtaking.
Bacio del Sole B&B is located in Nocelle, a small village on the Positano hill, the architecture of the village is very especial with picturesque alleys and stairs.
Nocelle is a little village 450 metres above sea level overlooking Positano, Li galli Island, Capri, I Faraglioni and Punta Campanella. Today Nocelle is still a quiet and rural village that enchants everybody who visits it.
The Bacio del Sole B&B is surrounded by scented lemon groves and vineyards. Its view of Positano is breathtaking. Bacio del Sole B&B is the perfect place for people who love the mountains and the sea, it is only 15 minutes by car from the Positano Beach and at the beginning of the famous Sentiero degli Dei a unique path that winds for 11 Km through the spectacular Amalfi Coast peaks.
Great villa! Great view from private terrace!
Very tidy rooms, great service, discounts for tours to Capri and other places. I've been spending there for 11 nignts and it was very comfortable and quiet time.
Wow! what a place. The drive up to Nocelle is great and you get fantastic views of the coast the whole way. The b&b is a short walk from the carpark and if you have baggage the porters can carry it for you. There is a gorgeous little shared garden by the entrance which overlooks the sea and we also had our own private little grassy patch complete with sun loungers again with a beautiful view. The Room was super clean and fresh, with lovely cool tiles and great air con which is very welcome in the hot weather.
I would highly recommend the steps down to Arienzo beach. There are 2000 of them and it took us a little over an hour but it's worth it, then you can get the water taxi over to Positano and the bus back up to Nocelle.
I had a great experience here but be warned its not actually located in Positano--it's in the village of Nocelle which sits on top of the mountain just south of Positano. What this location means is breathtaking views and absolute peace and quiet. Before going to Positano/Nocelle, an Italian told me that the town is beautiful but has one problem: steps! There are literally thousands and staying in Nocelle will not save you from them - the B&B is also only accessible via steps. The check-in time is at 4PM only which is important to note since I hadn't and they had to go out of their way to accommodate me (so sweet!) and check out is promptly at 10 if you want the porter to carry your bags up the stairs. There is a parking lot at the top of these stairs where you can park a rental car, be dropped off by a taxi (€30 one way) or catch and disembark the bus to/from Positano. In the mornings the bus runs every 20 mins and every hour in the evenings and is 24/7. It does get very crowded so be prepared to stand and if you have a lot of luggage it is probably best to catch a taxi instead. There is a path nearby that you can walk down (more steps? yes, still more) to the beach from - plan about 45 mins. There is also a nice trattoria not far away that earned a mention in Lonely Planet with more stunning views (though by then I had seen the view from my private garden and was less impressed than the other diners) and excellent service. The accommodations themselves were clean and comfortable. Afore mentioned private garden comes with each and a small kitchenette. For travelers who are used to hot, home cooked breakfasts at a B&B, you should note that the breakfast is standard European continental fare (meat, cheese, yogurt, cookies & crackers, bread, butter, jams, and coffee). Breakfast is served in your room at 7:30 or 9:30 which really just means a knock on your door to hand you the basket of food. You are responsible for cleaning the dishes you use in the kitchenette but all other cleaning is done daily or at your discretion. I would absolutely recommend this to friend and would go back again, next time with a bit of a better idea what I had gotten myself into.
this b'n'b is spectacular and beautiful! the private terrace with a 30 mile view is really special, the beds are comfy, the rooms are clean and well-appointed. Communication was perfect if your girl happens to speak italian haha
The bnb is very remote as others have commented - but if you have a car and like privacy and serenity it's going to be hard to beat. It's a walk but they have a really nice staff who will come up to help you carry all your bags
Only downside is the breakfast is certainly lacklustre ie. kinda what you would expect in a holiday inn..
Great view & very quiet location. It'd be good for someone who wants a quieter location near Positano. It's a steep, windy drive up the hill to Nocelle from Positano, but worth it for those with a steady grip [or take the local Bus]
Due to poor weather, we weren't able to really enjoy the view & private garden. Unfortunately, the breakfast was lacklustre, and the bathroom was dated. Otherwise, we enjoyed our short 2-day stay in the area.
We stayed there 5 nights. The place is very nice and spacious, but the problem is the communication.
Its located at Nocelle, 5 km up hill from positano... we didnt understood that from the booking, cause its not clear!!
its 25 min from positano centre, by bus... which starts running at 8am and finish at 10pm... So if you want to have dinner ... got to do it early... Nocelle has very very little to offer.
We had a car, but driving its not easy by night, its all curves up, with no lights, and very difficult, not recomended for everyone!
The place offers a porter, because you cant carry your luggage there because there are many many steps... be sure to talk to raffaella because she didnt recieved our message unfortunatelly, and we had to wait a lot!
The attention of Giusy was very very kind! She took care of everything, and was very sweet with us! And the breakfast was very good! The view, if you had nice weather, is lovely, and the balcony is very nice too!!
I recommend the place if you dont want to go out by night ... if thats not your plan, should look for some place closer!
