  • my stay at laiko's place was perfect. the apartment has everything you need, including a coffee grinder and electric kettle to make coffee just the way i like [nice coincidence there], super quiet, and sunny. laiko started the stay off right with a lovely note, a bottle of wine and some fresh fruit. she was available via email and txt message for even the smallest of questions! the neighborhood is very convenient has has great restaurants and a nice supermarket 2 blocks up steiner street. even though i didn't get to meet laiko in person, i felt a connection via our interactions and sharing her space.

  • Spacious place in quiet alley just off great street (Fillmore) in the heart of Lower Pacific Heights. Location couldn't get any better. Easy check-in / out and Laiko communicated everything clearly and willing to help with any arrangements. Thanks!!

  • Perfect Victorian gem located in the heart of the vibrant and exciting Fillmore neighborhood. Laiko's place is in a quiet, open alleyway, but steps away from all the action of SF living. The house is near a number of restaurants, shops and lots of options for public transportation.

Laiko was a very pleasant and communicative hostess, offering delicious coffee and a bottle of Cava. We loved staying in her place and would definitely like the opportunity to stay there again during our next visit.

  • Beautiful little place up an alley off of Fillmore. Its a good neighborhood and you can grab a cab to other parts of SF pretty easy. Its a couple blocks from Geary, the Fillmore, and Japantown. The host was very accommodating and even left a bottle of wine and coffee for us. There is cable tv and wifi internet, but really you may not be at the apartment that often, except to sleep and shower. Parking is a challenge and I had to use the parking garage down Fillmore in Japantown, $24 a day. Other than parking, the place was great and I highly recommend this place.

I'm a big fan of my hometown of San Francisco. Here's my must-do list for locals and visitors. 1. Walk Crissy Field - it's the best view in the world. 2. Take a Ferry ride from SF to Sausalito. 3. Visit the Ferry Building Farmer's Market. 4. Eat local oysters and Dungeness Crab whenever you can. 5. Tartine bread warmed and spread with great butter. 6. Take a day trip to Sonoma and visit Scribe Vineyards and Bartholomew Winery -- and walk around the gorgeous State Park next door. Lunch at Fremont Diner.
