Located in the paradise island of Gili Meno, maoMeno is a place for relaxation, Yoga, art and any Life affirming activities. Whether you want to rent a family house with kitchen, just a simple island hut, organize an event or join us for daily yoga classes, maoMeno provides all this.
The GARDEN BUNGALOW is located inside the garden surrounded by trees, enhancing our guests` privacy. It has two floors; on the top a double bed (with the option of having two single latex mattresses). Underneath there is a cosy chillout platform and a toilet attached. Additionally, the platform downstairs can sleep 2 more people. Enjoy the pleasure of waking up to the sound of the birds, the waves and the breeze.
As we have to ship our fresh water from the neighboring Island of Lombok during the dry season, it is available for showering at an extra cost of 2 euros per person/night. Otherwise, guests can enjoy the therapeutic properties of our semi-salted water. Breakfast is available at an additional cost of 3 euros per person/night. Otherwise we can provide an "a la carte" menu in our juice bar.
Our guest services (email hidden) (raw food options and traditional indonesian dishes), daily yoga classes, internet access, bicycles, snorkeling equipment, local fishing boat for rent and more...
We stayed at MaoMeno on Gili Meno for 7 nights. Our accomodation was a beautiful open bungalow with an outside bathroom. Kike welcomed us and gave us good informations about the island, e.g. where to snorkel, to see turtles, to swim and have nice meals. You can take yoga lessons or enjoy a massage at MaoMeno. We had a wonderful time on the island and would come back anytime.
We had a lovely 7 night stay in Mao Mano. Very peaceful, set inland about 10 minute walk to sea. Loved the outside bathroom. Really beautiful and clam spaces.
Kike and Lucy were great hosts, the afternoon yoga class was brilliant and well equipped, although would have preferred morning sessions to leave the afternoon free to explore/go on trips etc but that's just our view. The breakfast menu was yummy.
Would advise taking good mosquito spray-the walk through the cow fields are full of biting flies.
We really loved the north beaches which were serene and had less people trying to sell to you.
Would definitely recommend Mao Meno to anyone looking for something different to the usual beach hut holiday.
MaoMeno is a somewhat removed but lovely place to stay on Gili Meno. Since Meno is not too big, everything is within walking distance although we would recommend you to bring a torch for it is really dark in the nights.
We had a warm welcome by Kike and Lucy and everything was taking care of. We really loved the tree house which is a romantic place to stay at.
Breakfast is amazingly nice and healthy and for dinner Kike provided us with some good nearby suggestions. For sure try Meno's Dream next door. Splendid.
I am sure that after the renovation is completely finished, the maoMeno resort will be your perfect stay on Gili Meno!
Beautifully located in the middle of the jungle. Kike and Lucy are very friendly and provided us with healthy food and useful advice. There is the possibility to take Yoga classes and Lucy is educated in giving professional massages. I'll come again.
Her breakfast muesli is the best I tasted - ever!
Staying in MaoMeno is really a beautiful and relaxing moment, the Resort is fantastic and the Garden Bungalow is like a fair tale bungalow.
If you want a place to relax and enjoy nature, beach and beautiful island MaoMeno is the place to be.
Kike and Lucy are very helpful and kind.
MoaMeno is such a unique and incredible place! Kike and Lucy are very sweet and helpful hosts and will make sure you have everything you need during your stay in Gili Meno. I stayed in one of the cute houses (they all looked very nice), with a comfy bed and all the basic things you need for a comfortable stay. Gili Meno is a real paradise, it's the most quiet island of the 3 Gili's, but it has a great atmosphere, all the local people are so nice, there are some local restaurants and beautiful snorkeling spots and beaches. On top of this you can have very good yoga lessons given by Lucy and Kike. Kike already told me before I came that 3 nights is just enough to discover Gili Meno, and he was right, I wish I could have stayed longer!
Well our stay wasn't too bad but we'd just expected something else. "Enjoy the pleasure of waking up to the sound of the birds, the waves and the breeze." sounded like the location was far nearer to the beach than it is. Especially in combination with the photos of beach and stuff posted. However it's quite a walk form the harbor and the nicer beach about 15min, to the other side where you can watch the sunset about 10min. And the way to maoMeno goes over quite dusty ways and a meadow with cows, so be prepared to get a bit dirty every time go get back to or away from the location. And you should have a torch or something with you to find back in the night cause there's nothing to light up the way. The bungalow is nicely built but some floor boards would need replacement and the mosquito net definitely needs to be washed- it really looked gross. But the linen where absolutely fresh and the bed comfy.
Kike wasn't around the whole day of our arrival and there was just a Balinese guy working at some new bungalow their building which showed us our bungalow and left straight away without telling us anything. Also we didn't manage to get a bike or anything. We just met Kike the other day for breakfast, which was yummy. He's certainly a nice guy and if your not to fussy and you really want to do yoga maomeno might be the right place but if you just want to enjoy the beautiful beach and sea around Gili Meno there might be better places to stay.
Maomeno is a really lovely place! You feel like kike put a lot of thoughts and love into it.breakfast was great. We would have loved to stay even longer!
Please be aware of the boats and connections with Lombok or Padang bai since there is just a boat in the morning. I got the instructions too late so I've missed the first night. The host offered an extra night, however since it was high season we have already booked another place.
Also consider that there is no doors, and it is advisable to have a lintern since there are not many light around at night.
Remember that the water is salty. I recommend this place for the adventurous ones or if you really want to do yoga.
