Cheri and Dick were the best hosts yet. Thanks for the lovely cakes and muffins each day. The house is spotless and in a beautiful location. Highly recommended for a base to explore Yellowstone. Plus Cheri and Dick have great local knowledge and are very willing to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
We really enjoyed our stay in the suite. The Downens are very nice. They gave us great direction to Yellowstone park and places to eat in Cody. Cheri's Scones and Muffins were so delicious! We had very good rest there. Their place is very close to the entrance of Yellowstone park.
We had a lovely couple of days at Cheri's home. It was in a spectacular setting, very spacious, comfortable and clean, and Cheri was a great hostess. After a long day at Yellowstone it was a pleasure to return there for the evening.
Cheri was a wonderful host! She showed us around the space late evening when we arrived and also left us a wonderful breakfast treat in the morning. The location is about 30 minutes from the East Yellowstone entrance. Cheri's home had everything we needed and more, we would love to go back!
Cheri was very nice, loved the scones and muffins. Views from her house are beautiful and exactly as depicted in her listing. Décor is country. Suite is semi-private in finished basement of her home, need to go upstairs (into Cheri’s house) to use their shower. 45 min from East Entrance of Yellowstone, but if going to see thermal features (which are on the west side) it’s at least another 2 hrs of scenic driving within the very large Yellowstone Park. Keep that in mind when making your plans.
Eric's review needs one slight correction with regard to my house and Airbnb accommodations. The shower is, in fact, located upstairs from the main guest suite and is accessible via an inside open stairwell. However that bathroom is solely for guest use. I have a separate bathroom in another area of the house. As stated on my listing, there is an auxiliary guest bedroom located across the hall from that bathroom that is also for the exclusive use of my Airbnb guests at no additional cost. The master bedroom and a half-bath are in the main suite on the ground-level floor (walk-in basement).
Cheri was a lovely, accommodating and gracious host. Her house is clean, warm and had everything you need. Loved her dogs and the delicious muffins she made for us every morning. I would highly recommend the place. Perfect location to relax after a busy day in Yellowstone Park. We even managed to do a BBQ one afternoon in her charming creek-side location at the house. Wish we stayed longer to explore he charming areas around Cody and get to know her better.
I am a country women at heart and love riding my horse, cooking, teaching Yoga and Pilates and tending my flower, vegetable and herb gardens. I also have a passion for viewing the wildlife that abounds in the beatutiful mountain valley where I live, near Yellowstone Park. I am the mother of two grown daughters who have blessed me with 6 wonderful grandchildren. I also have one great-grandchild. I love having visitors in my guest-suite and do my best to make their stay a pleasant one.
