Cheri and Dick were both perfect hosts, the space I had was large and comfortable, the whole bottom section of their house, warm, clean and neat. Thanks

We had a great time at Cheri's place. It is in a beautiful area, closer to Yellowstone than Cody, and quite reasonably priced. Cheri made us feel welcome -- and also left us alone. That's particularly important in this instance because our bathroom, as well as the small bedroom in which I slept, are upstairs in Cheri's living space. Cheri was available if we had questions. And there's a reason why so many (all?) of the reviews mention the morning baked goods. These are not your grocery store pastries. They are homemade, dense, not too sweet, and varied. The small kitchen was well supplied with utensils, etc., and the downstairs space that was just for us was roomy. I highly recommend this listing for anyone who wants a relaxing environment from which to explore this awesomely beautiful area.

There were four people in our party, and we used Cheri's place as a base for exploring Yellowstone National Park. The road from Cheri's to the east entrance of Yellowstone is beautiful, and the house is about midway between Cody, Wyoming and the east entrance to Yellowstone. The entrance itself is about 30 miles away. For a couple of days' stay, this is a good base for exploring the park, but for anything beyond that, the drives could become tiresome given the enormous size of Yellowstone and the fact that you enter a major burned-out portion of Yellowstone near Yellowstone Lake when coming in this way. On the other hand, the area all around Cheri's place is magnificent. Her deck is one of the best places I've ever encountered for sitting on the deck, enjoying your morning coffee, and gazing off to the beautiful mountain scenery. Cheri is a very gracious hostess. Each morning there were freshly baked treats ready for us for breakfast. She is also a native of the area so she knows absolutely everything about this part of Wyoming and Montana and can give sage advice.

Cheri User ProfileCheri is a superhost.

I am a country women at heart and love riding my horse, cooking, teaching Yoga and Pilates and tending my flower, vegetable and herb gardens. I also have a passion for viewing the wildlife that abounds in the beatutiful mountain valley where I live, near Yellowstone Park. I am the mother of two grown daughters who have blessed me with 6 wonderful grandchildren. I also have one great-grandchild. I love having visitors in my guest-suite and do my best to make their stay a pleasant one.
