The Space

This one bedroom (with queen bed, sitting area and full bath) guest room in Atlanta’s Historic Virginia-Highland neighborhood is waiting for you. With a separate, private entrance you will be stepping into your own sanctuary. French doors open to a private small screened porch looking out onto landscaped grounds. You will wish to eat brunch at one of the many neighborhood restaurants but for a $10 fee your choice of breakfast is delivered to your room each morning.
All guests have complete privacy. The room is comfortably nestled in a charming southern neighborhood with many nearby shops and restaurants and just a short walking distance to Midtown Arts Cinema, Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, and the newly completed portion of the Atlanta Beltline system. Public transit is also nearby.

If you like to walk, run or just plain relax, then this is the place for you. Just bring your running shoes, bike, or a good book. Relax and feel at home.

I do not interact with guests unless they need something. It is a private atmosphere.

The Neighborhood

My neighborhood is very charming and was developed in the 1920's. There are a lot of Craftsman Bungalows in the area. Shops and restaurants are in walking distance.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Ben's place was perfect for my needs, great locale, easy walking to shops and restaurants, and super quiet and clean. The room had everything I needed and I greatly appreciated the coffee maker and water that came along with. The garden was beautiful and the bed comfortable. Bathroom was large and clean. Since I was giving a big talk, the comfort and privacy of this location will have me coming back for more. I was very appreciative of Ben's aesthetic and hospitality choices.

  • Great spot. Quiet, clean, comfortable. I'll be back.

  • The guestroom in Ben's home is just as described, quiet and private. The bed is very comfortable and the heavy drapes block out the light when pulled closed. The bathroom has new fixtures, including a large soaking tub. There is a small refrigerator and coffee maker (with coffee) in the room. The private entrance is a very nice feature. Street parking is available right by the gate to the back yard, so you don't have to carry your luggage very far or up any stairs. The Virginia Highlands neighborhood is beautiful and very conveniently located. You can walk to bars and restaurants and Trader Joe's, Starbucks and Mellow Mushroom Pizza are just .7 miles from Ben's home. Ben is an excellent host and I enjoyed my stay in his home. I will stay here again when I'm in Atlanta.

  • Our stay with Ben was perfect. Virginia-Highlands is a lovely neighborhood and we enjoyed walking to Piedmont Park and to several options of restaurants. There's even a year round Farmer's Market close by. Also pretty easy access to downtown as well as many historic sites.
Ben is a very unobtrusive host. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. It was a wonderful getaway and we'd certainly stay again.

  • Lovely, private and quiet guest quarters, with a wonderful soaking tub after a long flight. I actually got some work done here, which made my life much less stressed.
Ben's directions were very helpful and he graciously met me despite my late evening arrival. Sage and Buck formed a friendly canine welcoming committee that made me feel at home. Having Trader Joe's just down the street was fantastic! Location is close enough to downtown to be part of the action, but far enough away to keep life sane. I plan to return here the next time I come to Atlanta, if it's available. I was here in wintertime but could tell that Ben's garden would be glorious when fully leafed out. Can't wait to see it! Thank you, Ben!
