  • Our experience at the Surf Yurt could not have been better. We absolutely loved it. Loved waking up looking out the windows seeing the sun light glistening thru the giant bamboo stalks. Every morning we were treated to an amazing array of birdcalls coming from the trees surrounding the property. Tim and Lisa are just really good people, the kind that instantly feel like you would want them as life long friends. Tim gave us many helpful tips on where to surf and park when we went to the beach. As other guests have mentioned Lisa made us homemade granola and cookies which were fabulous. They receive our highest recommendation.

  • Tim and Lisa were fantastic hosts who are chilled and friendly, while still respecting your own space. The Yurt was probably the cutest place I ever stayed in! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. This is a must for anyone looking for some peace and quiet out of the city. I hope I'll get a chance to visit again :)

  • Love this place very much. Have stayed in quite a few airbnb places now and I can say that this was the most charming so far by far!
Lisa was super friendly and super thoughtful throughout my stay.
Marcus beach is a wonderfully quiet area - just the jolly chortle of all the different Australian birds giggling from the bushes in the nearby national park.

  • We had a lovely time at Tim and Lisa's yurt. The place was very clean and homely, it even included a little pack of homemade muesli! The national park was so close and beautiful to walk around. We got to see a goanna and they had some cute pet ducks. A lovely place for a little break and Tim and Lisa were very friendly.

  • We had a very nice stay in the yurt (and caravan). It looked great and Tim and Lisa were very helpful. The surroundings are nice and the yurt is close to Noosa Heads.

  • Very relaxing, great location (walking distance to the beach!!), exactly as advertised. Tim & Lisa were wonderful hosts and gave very helpful information when needed. They even had home-made granola, milk, & chocolates as a welcoming gift, so nice! Comfortable bed with nice pillows, very clean. We loved it!

  • Lisa and Tim's Surf Stay Yurt is perfectly located to experience the upper Sunshine Coast, and excellent value for money. We loved the little touches that met us on our arrival, and respected the understated presence of the hosts. We were after something a little more private and romantic; however could definitely recommend the little yurt for travellers seeking a family-friendly experience in a beautiful pocket of south east Queensland!

  • If you are after a relaxing, peaceful and beachy getaway, this is your place. Tim and Lisa are such a lovely couple and very hospitable and accommodating. You are at the doorstep of a national park and a quick walk to the ocean. Peregian beach is also a 5 minute drive away which has lots of restaurant options and a surfclub etc. We will definitely stay here again.

  • The yurt is really cool. It was a lovely simple holiday stay. Tim and Lisa are really nice people. It is very bright in the mornings and the sun shines directly onto the bed though so don't expect to be able to sleep in. Other than that it was very relaxing. Thanks T&L!
