Interaction with Guests
Rabin is a down-to-earth and humble host who makes you feel instantly welcome in his little corner of paradise, which is home to 3 generations of his family. Rabin and his family are locals who lived on the land long before Pokhara was a tourist destination and have built the guesthouse from the ground up with his brother.
“We would like to welcome you all to our lodge in Pokhara. We thank you for your desire to know more about our country and Placid Valley Lodge. We aim to sincerely work towards your satisfaction and comfort so that our hospitality will remain your memories.”

Getting to our lodge is very easy. We are located only 5 minutes by taxi from the Tourist Bus Station and Airport. If you are coming on foot or by transport, simply turn at the road beside "Cafe Concerto" which is on Lakeside and just before the royal palace in Gaurighat. You will find us on the left only 150m ahead.
Other Things to Note
Being locals and having lived in Pokhara all our life, we can help you with most of the information or requirement you might have. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we look forward to seeing you.

Rabin was a great welcoming host. He made sure I was safe getting to his place from the tourist bus station. He also arranged a taxi for me to the airport. The lodge itself is gorgeous. The room and bathroom were both perfect and clean. Overall I had an amazing experience here. I would stay here again if I ever return to Pokhara. I would highly recommend this Lodge. (Cafe concerto just up the street is a great place to eat).
The place was located in a perfect location; close to the lake and shops and restaurants! The accommodations were very up to date and comfortable. Rabin even picked me up from the bus station! His family were very accommodating and overly people. I highly recommend this place! The only downside was I wasn't able to connect to the internet while staying, however there area my cafés near by with wifi.
I absolutely loved staying at Placid Valley. I booked the balcony single room for one week and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience. The room was very clean and spacious, and the balcony was my favorite because it's private and overlooks the nice garden courtyard! The lodge is like a big family and there's always people to talk to and Rabin is very helpful! Thank you again!
Upon arriving in Pokhara after leaving KTM, I was very unsure what to expect. I arrived at Robins to find a neat, clean, and calm room. The room itself was on par with Western standards. I had a front patio as well as a private patio which was nice for privacy. The furnishings were new, clean, and very livable. Additionally, the bed was clean, ample, and comfortable. The property itself is gated, with an enclosed garden including flowers, trees, tables and chairs, as well as a covered area with tables and chairs. I caught WIFI the entire stay. As far as people, Robyn goes above and beyond to make his guest feel welcomed, safe, and at home. He was very approachable and happy to exchange any knowledge that he had and it was shown by the number of return guest I met. I left my computer, tablet, and excess luggage with Robyn while I went trekking, and the bags were EXACTLY as I had left them. I had no unexpected issues with the room, and best of all, the showers were HOT!!!!! I felt like one of the family, and was treated as if I had been a long term member of their nice neighborhood. The other travelers were incredibly nice, and satisfied as well. I definitely felt like Robins place was a good value, and safety and serenity are priceless. Robyn did a great job, and I highly suggest staying at Robins place....don't take my word, see for yourself. If you have any questions ask Robyn...he will answer them, or if you require anything, he can make it happen....incredibly nice holiday......bon voyage!!!!
I stayed at Placid Valley Lodge for a week in early October, and found it be a peaceful, comfortable, reasonably=priced and homely option for visitors to the beautiful Nepali town of Pokhara.
Rabin, the owner, is a warm and genuine man, who grew up on the actual lodge's site, back when it was just a traditional Nepali family home flanked by fields. The three-storey lodge wraps around a fragrant garden courtyard that his family tends to it with devotion - a great spot to eat breakfast or just have a tea and talk to fellow guests or Rabin. Walk up to the roof level for great views and a sunset drink!
I stayed in a top floor room with a balcony with slivers of mountain views, nice bathroom, good WiFi, comfortable bed, TV and fan. It's everything you need for a fair price, plus the truly friendly atmosphere Rabin and his family have created.
Rabin is a friendly host and the hotel is in a convenient place - next to Concerto restaurant and the lake. We had hot water and wifi.
