The building itself is a dated Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. The interior of the apartment was newly renovated.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) and gets plenty of natural sunlight. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenities to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.

We really enjoyed staying in this perfectly located apartment! It's very clean and extremely spacious and everything was very well organized. Wr can definitely recommend it!!!!
Very nice apartment in Tokyo. It's bigger than most Japanese apartments and basically has everything you need. Good location close to two metro stations, places like Shibuya and Shinjuku are easily reached. Would definitly stay here again.
From the outside it looked a bit shady but once you get into the room it was quite nice and cozy. My only complaint was the bathroom didn't have much of a ventilation in the first night and there was a mildew smell from the bathroom. Not sure if it was the lack of ventilation or if it was from the cleaning crew but the 2nd day the smell was gone. Its a bit tight for 4 people but its doable.
I think the best perk of renting here is the pocket wifi which was very helpful when navigating and walking through out Tokyo.
The place is close to 2 metro stops but its quite a distance from Tokyo Station for those carrying JR Passes or for those arriving from Narito to Tokyo and Ueno Stations.
I was communicating with Mizuho a majority of the time and she was an excellent host and was kind to make reservations at restaurant for us.
Overall a great stay!
We stayed at Nick's Roppongi apartment for 10 days in late April 2014, we were 2 adults and 2 children, and even though the apartment is a bit small (especially if you're tall), it has everything you need. And the location is simply fantastic. The Roppongi Metro station exit 7 (important to exit through the right exit) is conveniently close. We also enjoyed the nearby park for morning runs, relaxation with the kids and watching the bats at the small pond.
Once you figure out the metro system, getting around is incredibly easy (use the app) and with nick's portable wifi device - it doesn't get any better.
A great thanks to Nick for his help and hospitality - would definitely use again anytime!
I had never been to Tokyo or used Airbnb and my first experience was great thanks to Nick. Not only did he make sure I got in ok, but he showed me the area and where to get something to eat. He was a pleasure to deal with, responding to my messages quickly and helpfully. The apartment itself was clean and spacious. The bathroom takes some adjusting to since there is no actual shower or tub, just an area that you pull a shower curtain around, but it's not a problem. I only stayed one night but it would definitely be suitable to longer stays since there's a small kitchen and a washing machine. The neighbourhood is great--right near a park, lots of places to eat, a 24 hour grocery store (perfect for jet lag) and the subway is minutes away. And I cannot overstate the convenience of having pocket wi-fi.
Great location, within walking distance from Roppongi Station. The apartment was a little small for 4 full grown adults to walk about but it was still a comfortable stay for us. Checking in and out was effortless and convenient, and Nick even provided discounted rates for us when we deposit our luggage less than 2 hours prior to checkin. I would recommend this place to my friends!
The apartment in Roppingi was very clean and stocked with most necessities. I'm happy that I ran into Nick in the lobby and he showed me to the apartment. I was also greeted outside the apartment by another person who showed me around the unit. It's located in a quiet residential area and not too far from a subway line. Very spacious for one person. Very secure building.

Konnichi wa! Hello from Tokyo!!! I love to share with you the beauty of contemporary Japanese culture. Having backpacked around the world I know first hand how it feels to be in a new country and to immerse oneself in a new culture. I'm inspired by those little details that we encounter everyday but often get overlooked in our busy lives in Tokyo from signboards to toy designs to building architecture. I would love to share with you our passion for art, Tokyo street culture, and local cuisine!
