About this listing
This is an old guest apartment situated behind the main hall of the Palace. Each of the two rooms have double beds and A/C, hot shower and common areas are shared with the main house, where there is a common dining area with dry kitchen if you want to prepare your meals.
Experience a one-of-a-kind good night sleep inside one of Bali's largest and the last surviving Palace compound.
Puri Agung Karangasem is located at the center of Amlapura City. We are the direct descendant of the late Karangasem King and is the patron to the Tirtagangga and the Taman Ujung Water Palace at the outskirt of the city.
Though slightly dated, the 2 bedrooms with 3 beds are clean and is a great place for your adventures in Northern Bali. With hot shower, and A/C as well as a common dining area and kitchen — plus the strategic inside-a-palace location — this is a one-of-a-kind deal.
Surrounding the house is the historical buildings of the last Kingdom in Karangasem — itself an attraction on its own — where you can experience the serene and traditional living of our extended family.
We are centrally located in the city, and is a good hub for you to explore Eastern Bali beach attractions: e.g. Candidasa, Amed, Tulamben, etc.
Dress politely, behave respectably.
This was an amazing experience! Trisna's mother and father were always very kind and welcoming. Definitely go to the two water palaces with Father Agung, they were beautiful and well worth it!! There is also a nice supermarket called Hardy's just a 5 minute walk away. Thank you to Trisna and her family for a very pleasant stay in Karangesam!!
Had a pleasant stay here. The palace grounds were lovely and peaceful and we could wander around even though the majority of the grounds are others residence. There isnt much to see or do in Amlapura so I would suggest only staying one night here and definitely visit the water palace at tirtagangga. Its stunning. Trisna was wonderful at communicating and made me feel at ease. Her father was living on site at the palace and was very helpful also. He drove us to the waterpalace and waited around while we took photos and had lunch then drove us back for 100, 000IDR. The room was clean and tidy. Not much natural light but that was fine. Pleasant place to stay but not really any reason to visit again.
