It was wonderful to be in Paris. The neighbourhood and restaurants are great and welcoming. The laundry facility was fully stocked for us to use and the kitchen was well set up for cooking meals. There was plenty of coffee , espresso and tea for us to use too.
It was very crowded for 4 people but we managed being all related.
IT would not have worked for friends who did not want to see each other dressing. The bed was comfortable. The couch made up into a double bed and was comfortable too.
The information for Paris and the tourist information in the unit was very helpful. The courtyard was very nice but we where there the wrong season for really using this. We felt safe and had easy access to bus and metro too.
Stephane has a very nice appartment for an enjoyable citytrip to Paris.
The appartment is nicely decorated and perfect for two people. The location is perfect for a trip to Tour Montparnaase with an exiting view over Paris and the Eiffel tour. Besides that you are pretty close to Les Invalides and the Eiffel Tour. metro is closeby and also a parking (Montparnasse Pasteur) is at 200 meters.
We had a wonderful stay in Stephane's apartment. It's a little bit off the beaten path of the main tourist attractions but the apartment was very close to the metro station. We did get a lost finding the apartment. It would have helped if we were sent the map he left in the apartment ((website hidden)maps wasn't so great with the directions). Make sure to look in the guestbook for directions to use the appliances. We had an adventure with figuring out how to use everything all week and when we finally checked the guestbook the last night of our stay we realized Stephane had instructions in the guestbook!
Stephane's apartment was ideal. My husband and I could not have had a better trip to Paris! The location is perfect - safe, accessible, and just the right amount bustling. The street is lined with everything you need - restaurants, bakeries, convenience stores. The metro and train station right down the street - Gare Montparnasse - puts the whole city at your fingertips, but allows you to steer clear of all the crowded touristy areas. Loved the kitchen! We went to several of the markets and cooked up a lovely meal from all of the fresh vegetables. Stephane's nephew met us to let us in right when we arrived; he was accommodating and pleasant. I would recommend this apartment to anyone and I would definitely stay there again!
really great flat, so well situated, quiet, cosy and exceptionally well furnished, a real treat and to be recommended..
Stephanes apartment is in an excellent location, we decided to walk to the eiffel tower on the Sunday, 1hr 20mins through really beautiful streets.
Communication was great with Spephane and his neice and they very kindly allowed us to check out late as our train wasnt until 18.00.
There were 3 of us, enough space for us but wouldnt recommend 4 as it would be very tight.
Could do with bit more info on equipment - tea maker especially.
Also directions to the apartment bit confusing, best bet when youg get to Montparnesse tube is to follow the signs underground for the main line station and then you will come out on the Bd de Vanguard which is the road that leads to the apartment.
Highly recommend the place and the person
Thank you Stephane
We stayed at Stephane's apt for 6 nts. Though we haven't met him nor Baptiste (his nephew), communication with Stephane was easy coz he quickly responded to my emails. When I informed him that I have to reduce the number of nights, he promptly refunded my cr card the equivalent amount via AirBnB transaction (which was quite easy). When our Eurostar train afternoon arrival conflicted with Baptiste's availability, I requested Stephane to possibly make arrangement to leave the apt key to where it will be convenient for us to pick it up upon our arrival so we don't have to wait for Baptiste's availability after 6:00 pm. And voila! We checked in immediately without waiting out in the cold.
As you enter the apartment, there are hooks on the wall to hang your coats/jackets; kitchenette is to your left, with two heat conducting plates, small fridge and dishwasher. Except for some items that were out of stock (like sugar), the apt has the mini appliances that we need: electric kettle, bread toaster, coffee, and Nespresso selections that I enjoyed each morning!
At right is the living room with separate sofa and dining table. There's a printer too. I chose this apt because of the washer and dryer machines. My husband likes the comfy bed coz we barely felt any toss-and-turn movement of either of us when sleeping; even the window treatments are effective in keeping us asleep. The excellent water pressure (also in the kitchenette) of both the handheld and rainshower, as well as the spacious shower area, makes me feel like I don't want to leave the shower. Two pairs of towels are provided.
Apparently, despite the size the owner has thoughtfully invested in installing quality fixtures and appliances to fit into a tight space for the convenience of guests.
However, some wish list to consider:
lights in the living room need brightness adjustment (dimmer switch) similar to the one in the bedroom
mirror light in bathroom is not working -- battery needs replacement
shampoo and body wash would be appreciated
hangers in the closet
The location is close to everything a visitor would need. Stroll around and one will find diverse restaurants, bakeries, and malls. Around Gare Montparnasse Station, there are big groceries--G20, Monoprix and Franprix--where we love to shop for groceries. He's got a roller basket to help with your groceries.
Thank you, Stephane, for letting us stay in your nice apartment.
Stephane was a great host. His apartment was clean, comfortable, and in a great location.
