Nous avons été bien reçu par Joseph, le logement était fidèle à la description.
Le quartier est agréable et calme.
Nous y avons passé un très agréable séjour, adresse à garder.
Stephane was fantastic to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and his communication was always fast. The apartment itself is in an ideal and central location, walking distance to many sights. We were leaving from Gare Montparnasse which is only a short walk away and has escalators to get to the platforms (great with heavy bags). Stephane's apartment has everything you require for a comfortable stay in Paris and his outdoor eating area is a real plus!
Great location, comfortable beds and lovely outdoor area. Close to everthing we needed - metro stations, supermarkets and patisseries! Felix met us on our first day and showed us around the apartment, he was wonderful! If you are planning a trip to Paris, Stephane's apartment is a great place to stay
The host does not live at the property and I believe travels so is not typically there to greet people. Instead, he had someone else meet us at the apartment. We arrived during a heat wave (97 degrees F) on Bastille Day (all shops were closed). There was only one broken fan in the flat and we not only demanded we have the one fan promised, but also an additional since one since our son was sleeping on the pull out in the other room. The inside temperature had to be around 105 degrees F and the air was stifling hot. Two were delivered the following day and my husband & son had to assemble them.
I felt the apartment was too small for 3 people as there is no place for luggage - especially when the sofa is pulled out. We only had carry on luggage and can't imagine if people had larger suitcases, as well as, 3 people in the apartment. To me, it's really more suited for 2 people. There was no coffee provided and we weren't going to shop around for the little disks required for the coffee maker. However, there are several good restaurants around the neighborhood for breakfast, etc. The neighborhood is safe, clean, but lacking in charm. That said, charm probably adds to the over all cost, so you have to decide. Over all, the apartment was clean and comfortable (except for the high temperatures, but that is not in anybodies control). I think the bathroom needs a more thorough scrubbing - especially around the toilet and the shower area. The shower head delivers good strong water - so that was wonderful after a long, exhausting day. There were plenty of towels available for our use.
Personally, I would prefer to stay in a location where the owner is near by or on the premises. (Stephane would have been available by cell, I guess.) For the duration of our trip (through Germany), we stayed in 2 & 3 star hotels and really liked having a front desk person around to answer questions and give advice. Paris is expensive and you have to decide what's important for you. I don't think I want to do an apartment rental again - unless, I were really familiar with the area and staying longer than the three nights we stayed.
The apartment is nice, close to gare montparnese. It was a little tricky to find it at first. It is small but very nice. Many trains around, plenty or restaurants and not touristy which is great. I would stay here again
Overall we had a lovely stay in Stephane's apartment. After a bit a bumpy start, which was solved very quickly and efficiently by Stephane, my family enjoyed the great location & lovely neighborhood of the apartment. Paris is always worth a visit.
