  • A badly misrepresented apartment. Best part is the location, if you can find it. We should have recognized that the lack of communication about its whereabouts were a sign of how the rest of our stay would go. Our experience was downhill from there. The directions were completely inadequate. When we did finally connect with the owner out in front of the building, he declined to come up to the apartment with us, which made objecting to its condition quite difficult. The entrance to the building was a graffiti-covered utility gate at the end of a narrow desolate alley whose lock didn't work, which opened onto a scary, unlit, cavernous foyer. The other interior gate was never locked by other tenants. The make-shift "rooftop deck" is accessible by ladder, and was also impossible to lock securely. The apartment was bitterly cold upon our arrival. It took 3 days at full heat on two portable space heaters to finally take the chill off. We were only provided one heater to start with - the second came after we complained about the cold. There was unannounced construction underway in the narrow stairwell; we awoke to banging every morning at 8:00 (on vacation!), not to mention difficulty avoiding the wet cement and workers - we had to time our departures to avoid both. No maps, no metro guide, no orientation, no instructions for appliances and other apartment quirks (for instance the location of the electrical circuit breaker, which blew frequently, or the access code for the wi-fi, or how to operate the washing machine), no shopping/dining suggestions. Paper-thin walls and roof carried the sound from other apartments - coughing, sneezing, music, heels striking the floor late at night - not to mention the pigeons cooing loudly right above ceiling every night! Dirty and unmaintained, it had the feel of an abandoned bachelor pad - painted brick floors, a leaking and constantly running toilet, cast-off, dusty, tired furnishings. Not a safe or relaxing experience.

  • We had such a wonderful experience in Barcelona. Borbala and Nestor were wonderful hosts who gave us privacy but also greeted us at the train station so we wouldn't get lost, responded promptly to any help we needed, and were overall friendly and helpful. The apartment is great - perfect location, central but quiet, spacious, and with a lovely deck! A great place in a great city.

  • Fantastic central location in the heart of the oldest and most interesting part of Barcelona, with lots of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The apartment is full of character and exactly as it looks in the photos and a great place to come back to at night after a hard day's sight seeing. It's very quiet at night and the bed is incredibly comfortable, so we got a really good night's sleep. Communication with Bori was excellent and she and Nestor were very reliable and accommodating around our arrival and departure times. We certainly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting an authentic Barcelona experience.

  • You're in the heart of Barcelona. feel it throb. The "Passatge del Born" is within walking distance, as well as the "Catedral del Mar". The door of the old building where the apartment is located not entice to enter. But just cross it and climb up to the apartment to see that you have chosen the right place to stay in Barcelona. the apartment is great, nothing is missing, almost sorry to know that the city is calling you out and that you can not enjoy it fully.
Bori is a very kind and welcoming, the icing on the cake!

  • Located in the heart of the Born district, Bori & Nester's lovely apartment was everything we needed for our week in Barcelona. It was clean, well-stocked, and very cute. It was also very quiet, which allowed us to sleep well in the heart of an otherwise busy city. Interactions with Nester and Bori were very positive, and we were able to check in and out with no problems at all. I would recommend their place to anyone!

  • Bori and Nestor's apartment was exactly as descried and they were very accommodating. Communication was excellent! They met us late in the evening for check-in early and early in the morning for check-out, to match our flight schedule. The apartment was clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for exploring the city... minutes from the metro line and perfectly situated in the best shopping/bar/restuarant district in the city. We would absolutely recommend. Thank you!

  • This flat is right in the heart of El Born. Probably the one of the most happening sections of Barcelona. There were a ton of restaurants and bars to choose from. The architecture was great. The building itself dates back to the 1400s, so don't expect something super posh. Regardless, its very clean, well decorated, big, and comfortable. The roof deck is also a big plus. Nestor (our host) was super cool AND very prompt! He was there to let us in when we arrived and early when we checked out. We'll definitely try to stay there again!

It is old, but clean and there is everything you need!
I liked the place where it situated "El Born" region. I think its the best for local shops and bars and the best for parties.
Borbala and her husband were very friendly and helpful to us.
