Jonathan wasn't around when we checked in, but he arranged for the keys to be picked up at the store just around the corner, so that wasn't an issue. The apartment is situated on the second floor with pretty steep stairs, so we definitely struggled with our luggages. It was smaller than expected, but clean, neat, and really comfortable! He had a tray full of snacks, a bottle of wine, and even earplugs. He stocked his fridge with condiments and staples that would tide any guest over for the first couple of days, yet leaving enough space for our own groceries. He's got all kinds of magazines available so that's a bonus. Great location too!
Jonathan is a great host! He very nicely replied to all my messages at the speed of light. His apartment is as described, and very well located in a great neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful, very clean apartment in a great neighborhood. Jonathan makes everything super easy, from getting the keys to even how to work the tv. Would definitely stay here again.
Jonathan was a great host. He managed all the details of our arrival and departure well and quickly. The apartment was just as described. It was a nice location, especially with the very good Intelligentsia lattes lurking just around the corner. We availed ourselves of the citibikes as they were so close to the apartment. All in all, it was great.
Jonathan did an excellent job. We felt welcomed and everything was organised and prepared. The flat exactly matched the description and was quite well in the context of New York's typical restrictions in space. The bed was small, but very comfortable. We felt like a member of the Chelsea community and enjoyed our stay a lot. OK, New York was extremely hot in these days and the small air conditioner couldn't manage the job at all. But who would go to New York in July anyhow except us little dummies ... :-)
Super apartment, nice and clean in a great location.
Jonathan was available, flexible and responded clearly to all of our questions.
Jonathan's place was so pretty, clean, and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay.
My husband and I loved this apartment! It was our first experience using Airbnb and the next place has a lot to live up to! It was a relatively quiet street and only a few blocks from the High Line Park, Chelsea Market (where we ate several times), and trendy Meatpacking District nightlife. The owner was very communicative before our arrival and the logistics of getting keys was handled well. The lights were on when we arrived so we didn't have to grope around in the dark looking for switches. There was a nice tray with wine, cookies and other snacks to greet us and a very helpful binder with information about the apt, nearby attractions, closest subway station, etc. The decor is minimalistic and modern and the bed was comfortable although smaller than we're used to (it was not a surprise since I asked beforehand though). The place was very clean with fresh linens and plenty if blankets. We had great, cool weather so we didn't need air conditioning but I didn't see an AC unit if it had been hot. There were many channels available on TV but we weren't around log enough to watch them. It was hundreds of dollars cheaper than staying in the nearby Standard Hotel and probably comparable amenities if not better! I very highly recommend this apt to singles or couples looking to stay in the city.
John was really reactive and anticipated all needs guests could have. The appartment is so well placed, in a quiet and lovely street, easy use. For us, the greatest point was the vicinity of the A,C,E Trains and the trees by spring. Thank you so much, John, and see you next time.
