Located between the Marais and Bastille, this loft is on the 3rd and last floor of a n early 20st Century walk up building, in a very lively area, protected from the street noise by large courtyards, very quiet night and day.
You come in a very light and spacious loft; It has a large open space with high ceilings.
The fully equipped kitchen is open to a large living room. The windows are facing South.
Above the kitchen, a mezzanine-office lit by the windows of the dining room and three large skylights.
Continuing to the more private part:
a 1st bedroom, with dressing and bathroom ensuite, a queen size bed, facing South.
A 2nd bedroom with a queen size bed, facing East,
A 3rd bedroom with a twin bed and a mezzanine with a queen size bed, facing East.
The second bathroom and toilet are independent, like the laundry with a washing machine.
Located within a walking distance from the very center of Paris, you will find several grocery stores open very late in the evening, trendy cafes and bakeries. An open air market is taking place on the boulevard Richard Lenoir, on Thursday and Sunday mornings.
Situated a few steps away from the Place des Vosges, the Marais and the Place de la Bastille. You can also easily walk to the Ile de la Cité and Ile St Louis, on the banks of the Seine, and even to the Latin Quarter.
Direct underground line to the various railway stations:
line 5 directly to the railway stations Gare de l’Est, to the Gare du Nord and to the Gare d'Austerlitz.
From the Airports, I would recommend the shuttles if you are many, and the RER B to Gare du Nord if you are alone.
You are in a nice area close to the Opera Bastille, cinemas, the famous rue de Lappe, its restaurants and the legendary "Balajo".
The bar fashion, "Cafe de l’Industrie" is located in the same street, almost opposite our building.
In the summer the Place des Vosges will allow you to enjoy the rural atmosphere of picnics, lying on the grass ...
From September we would give prioriry to long term stay.

Barbara was a wonderful host. The first night she bought soup and oysters, I made a salad and we had a feast. The apartment is large and is an unexpected architectural treasure at the top of the stairs. Two of my children and I enjoyed a week in the flat. It was close to food shops, restaurants and just a few stops from anywhere you might want to go in this fabulous city. I would recommend it highly.
Barbara is a warm and generous hostess and the flat is delightful and comfortable. It is spacious and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable 'home style' stay in paris. We enjoyed our time there and found it very convenient to transport and in walking distance to some major attractions. The 67 steps up to the loft were initially daunting but I've returned from my trip feeling really well and the exercise is a necessary antidote to the excellent food you will be eating. Don't miss out on the confit de canard at L'Industrie, the cafe on the corner of the block, the wonderful patisserie on the opposite corner, or the cuisine at bistrot moderne just around the corner. I highly recommend this apartment. I travelled with two adult women, but it is also suitable for families, as two of the bedrooms are away from the main bedroom.
The apartment is light, spacious, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for our month-long stay. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the swing in the living room! The location is very convenient, and Barbara and Serge were very kind and responsive. Thank-you so much, and we hope to be back soon!
Very spacious, and extremely well equipped flat! Easy walking access to the Metro, and the awesome Le Marias neighborhood. Great open-air market just around the corner on Thursdays & Sundays.
The apartment is so beautiful, in a great location and really well equipped. You have everything you need and I appreciated how clean and comfortable it was.
Barbara was a really great host and made sure I had all information I needed about the apartment.
I highly recommend staying here
We loved our stay at Barbara's apartment, it is beautiful, spacious and very clean. The kitchen is fantastic and very well equipped and the beds are super comfy. The area is great, try Le Chat Ivre or Le Cafe de l"industrie for tasty neighbourhood eats at reasonable prices. The market on Sundays was wonderful. All in all, a five star stay.
Adresse à conseiller. Quartier et appartement top !
We loved our stay at Barbara and Serge's beautiful apartment. It was spacious and lovely and just right for the 6 of us. Serge and Barbara were lovely as well and very helpful. They even included a notebook of instructions for the appliances in the house and tips for nearby attractions as well as suggestions for activities in their neighborhood. I would definitely recommend them as hosts and this apartment to anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris with a group (up to 6). The swing in the living room was an extra-special touch!
Awesome apartment in a great area/neighborhood. Fully recommended for small or large groups/families. Barbara was very considerate of our needs, easy going, helpful, and a general pleasure to work with. Will be back again!
The apartment was very good. Barbara, the host, was also very attentive.
Would definitely recommend.
