The dogtrot style of home was common throughout the South during the 19th and early 20th centuries. This home is a 21st century take on this unique design. A breezeway through the center of the house provides a common outdoor living space while providing privacy between the two bedrooms and two full-baths. Open the large exterior barndoors to increase light and air flow, or close when desiring privacy and intimacy. All natural materials were used throughout the home for a warmer more traditional feel.
The property sits just East of downtown - less than a mile from Rainy and East 6th. street, very popular for local food and drinks. 2013 Fader Fort is a few streets north, while a 1.5 mile jaunt through neighborhoods takes you to the Austin Convention Center. Within a 5-minute walk to Lady Bird Lake, a casual 10-minute bike ride to downtown and a 12-minute drive to Bergstrom International Airport. Also a nearby convenient store and laundromat just two block away. East Austin has many unique local restaurants and bars within minutes from the house. Check out Yelp for popular recommendations. Pedicabs and buses can take you to and from without dealing with parking.
The space includes wireless internet, Netflix, AC/heat and plenty of free street parking.

My husband & I so enjoyed our stay at the Crash Pad. It was super clean, modern, quiet, comfortable, nicely furnished and only just a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go in Austin. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.
My wife and I had a really nice weekend stay at Roman & Andrea's place. They are super friendly hosts who made us feel welcome and well oriented in our first visit to Austin. Their place matched its Airbnb photos and description to a tee. It's a cool, tasteful and modern design with careful details -- we loved staying there. And the location is great. You avoid the touristy hubbub of SOCO, and are super convenient to nightlife on East 6th, Rainey or downtown, as well as outdoor activities on the water.
I agree with previous folks staying there, this is a very unique place in Austin and more like a suite than a room. You are in a very private setting in one of the coolest small homes on the East side. Roman & Andrea are very nice hosts and were very easy to work with - thanks!
Had a wonderful stay with Roman and Andrea. Very nice, modern home with all the furnishings you would need for a comfortable trip.
A great location on the east side.
Loved our stay! Nice, quiet location.
Roman and Andrea have a warm and stylish home. It's located in a great area of Austin and one I would highly recommend! I'd love to stay in this modern crash pad again.
We had a great stay at Roman and Andrea's spot. They were super responsive and communicative, which was really nice. Roman's recommendations in town were spot on. The crash pad was clean and comfy. Neighborhood was centrally located, and was a fantastic place to explore Austin from.
Great Place to stay in Austin. Would recommend and would stay here again
This place was awesomeeeeee!!! We loved every little detail of the studio, and the architecture of the house is really neat. The shower had hot water (which is what we needed the most on a cold day in Austin), there was a TV with movies, and wireless internet was fully working! Everything was super clean, and Roman & Andrea were super cute and friendly; they recommended yummy places to eat nearby :) Definitely coming back to stay for more days on our next trip to Austin.
Roman and Andreas little "studio" is lovely. I've been looking for places to stay in Austin for a little and I found everything to be ugly besides this.
Checkin was really easy as the keys were in a lock box. Very nice bathroom and comfortable bed. It sleeps two people very well.
When ever I come back to Austin, I would totally try to stay with Roman and Andrea again.
