Our large, much-loved family home can sleep up to 10 guests and is perfect for a couple of families or a group of mature friends. You'll find us in trendy Kensal Rise, where you'll find plenty of great shops, restaurants and bars plus a large and very child-friendly park. All this and just a 20 minute tube ride to central London!

The space
THE HOUSE
We have a large, stylish, light and airy house in Kensal Rise, close to Queens Park in North West London, which is a laidback, urban area and a 20 minute tube journey from Queens Park station to the city centre. We have five bedrooms - the attic room has a superking bed, three of the bedrooms have kingsize beds and the smallest bedroom has a has a very comfy double sofa bed. We can also offer a travel cot.

There are three bathrooms - a family bathroom on the first floor with bath and walk in shower, a shower room on the second floor with walk in shower, sink and WC, which is next to the pink bedroom and another bathroom on the attic floor with bath and walk in shower.

On the ground floor there is a large open-plan sitting room with TV, board games, plenty of seating for hanging out and a large kitchen/diner with a sofa to hang out. The kitchen is well equipped (we are both keen cooks) and opens out on to a sunny terrace - it's a great place for breakfast and lunch on warm sunny days - and a long, leafy garden with lots of lovely plants and flowers.

There are whitewashed wooden floors throughout the house and original fireplaces in most of the rooms. We have a friendly cleaner, who can come once a week or more if required. Our house is a chilled out and relaxed place to hang out - although please note it's a home and not a hotel and as with any old houses is a little bashed up in places! It is best for a couple of families or a group of friends.

THE LOCAL NEIGHOURHOOD
Centrally located and just two miles from the centre of London, Kensal Rise is close to the buzzing markets of Portobello and Notting Hill and a stroll away from lots of local coffee shops, bars, restaurants and shops in Kensal Rise and Queens Park.

We have a lovely local cinema called the Lexi, which features arty and mainstream films where you can enjoy a drink while watching the latest releases. In the summertime there are also open air movies shown in Queens Park.

There is a train station less than a five minutes walk from the house that goes from East to West London and connects with the tube along the way. We are 10 minutes walk across a pretty park to Queen's Park station on the Bakerloo line, which is a 20 minute journey to Oxford Street where you'll find lots of great shopping, restaurants, fun nightlife and theatre. There is on street parking (we can provide parking permits for a small extra cost) and tubes and trains run until midnight. There are also buses and night buses running into the centre of the city.
