Sue was very caring, helpful and made me feel very welcomed, the house was very clean, tidy in a lovely village location and ideal for visiting Carlisle.
Sue was a brilliant host , a very warm welcome to us and our dog Paddy , who was more than at home ! breakfast was more than adequate , room very pleasant and in all a very good base to visit Hadrian's wall and some stunning Cumbrian countryside . Several good food pubs within easy reach. thanks again Sue for a relaxing break.....Val & Allan
We SO enjoyed our stay with Sue (and Jack! Her big lovable lab). She was beyond sweet, and made us feel right at home. Her house is amazing and the most charming place I've ever laid my head. She really puts the 'GREAT' in Great Corby :) many thanks again!!
With Family in Aberdeen and Gloucester I must have driven past Great Corby 1000's of times over the years yet never new it was there, so it was such a lovely surprise to find this absolutely beautiful and conveniently located little village.
Sue's house was absolutely fabulous with beautiful original features, a spacious bathroom, comfy bed and great breakfast (despite our early rise) even Jack (the beautiful old retriever) was a friendly, welcoming face. Sue was a great host and it was fun discovering just how small a world it is! Although we were only able to pay a flying visit, arriving quite late and leaving early Sue was very accommodating, and being able to enjoy some home comforts while on our long journey was great.
All in all a fabulous place to stay which I (we) would definitely recommend to others.
Sue was a brilliant host....really friendly and accommodating. We loved the cottage and village - both beautiful and peaceful. The location was close enough to Carlisle for convenience, but far away enough for peace and tranquillity. Would definitely stay here again.
Sue is superfriendly and she also gave us a good idea for a route to travel north, which we did, visiting Caerlaverock Castle and Sweetheart Abbey, and Loch Ken with the red kites on the way to Ayr. That was a great idea!
Breakfast was great, amazing scrambled eggs from RIGHT THERE!!
