Peter is an excellent airbnb host. He provided us with a warm welcome, some beer and a nice bottle of wine and sparkling water in the fridge, a great list of local recommendations which were right on target for us. Peter let us know that he was available for anything we might need but at the same time gave us our privacy. The place was clean and the furnishings very cozy and functional. We stayed with our 2 kids 13 and 10 and they loved the visits from Peter's 2 very friendly dogs and the deck and hot tub was enjoyed by all of us. We would not hesitate to stay at Peter's place again.
Thank you, Peter!
A great place in Silver Lake if you are looking for a stay in Los Angeles. Great location in Silver Lake, exactly as described, and the outdoor communal area, beautiful! Peter is a great host as well, leaving us a bottle of champagne in the fridge (we had just been married a few days before). I highly recommend staying... and say hi to Deebo and Charlie for me!
The cottage was great! Walking distance to Sunset, easy access to all the food and record shopping you'd want! Peter was warm and inviting and the dogs are adorable! Well appointed bedrooms were comfy and cozy - an all around great time!
Our host welcomed us with flowers and wine waiting in the kitchen! We were so thankful for that sweet touch! The space was perfect for us. The layout was clean and simple with just the right touches. There was great lighting and clean, well-stocked bathrooms with plenty of linens. The beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was even butter and cream and other supplies that I hate to have to buy on vacation.
The patio with the hot tub was wonderful! The fountain was relaxing, the sun chairs were comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect at night. We spent most of our down time out there.
The location was great, close to everything we needed/wanted.
Peter was an excellent host, and struck the balance between welcoming and respectful of privacy perfectly. He lives in a separate building on the property with his amazing dogs and always stops to say hello and check if we need anything without ever being overbearing. On arrival there was a bottle of wine and fresh flowers, I'm not sure if it was because I was celebrating my birthday or if everyone gets such great treatment!
The property was well-equipped with everything we needed and the location was faultless- the vast majority of Silver Lake was easily walkable and there were plenty of amazing places to eat and drink nearby. Peter also provided a comprehensive list of bars and restaurants in his manual which also proved to be a nice touch.
Peter was a wonderful host. It was like being at home away from home. We were so busy that we seldom got to use the amenities available at Moore Cottage, but we
loved being in a neighborhood where we could actually be a part of LA. Thanks, Peter. We hope to see you and Moore Cottage again!
Peter was the most gracious host! He left us a bottle of wine and a couple of beers, fresh cut flowers and the best guide to Silver Lake letter EVER!!! (Peter is a witty writer with impeccable insight into Silver Lake's restaurants and other destinations) Our cottage was cozy and better than the pictures, perfect location, we loved the patio and fresh jasmine in bloom after the rain. There were 2 double beds and all the amenities you could hope for being away from home.(shampoo, conditioner, condiments, coffee, sugar etc…Could have been from the last tenants. We left butter, rice and few other staples too.) The best part of our stay was Peter and his beautiful dogs, Debo and Charlie. Peter shared them with us, because we really missed our 3 at home. They are the sweetest dogs and we are so grateful to Peter for letting us hang out with them on the patio. I would highly recommend staying at any of his listings. We definitely will again.
