  • Tomoko is an amazing host! I only got to stay here for one night, but I am definitely coming back for more. Had a little mishap with the arrival (these things happen, it's life :) ), but she quickly came back from where she was and I was in the room in no time!

If you are worried about the rooms not being "walled," all you need to bring are a pair of ear plugs and an eye mask and you will be ok at night. Everything else is very well kept, the location is great (proximity to bus stop, beach, Waikiki city center).

The other roommates are courteous and kind, respectful of your privacy.

    Highly recommend!

  • I booked the room only for a short night-cause my flight was early in the morning. I didn't expect anything, but got surprised/I really liked that little room. if you're looking for something nice and simple-that's it. The apartment is great located and you can have a perfect time in Waikiki with walking distances to everything. you're sharing the apartment with 3 other really nice girls. the Sharing Roms are kitchen and bathroom. Also good to know-the room is private, but without a door-the Japanese style with curtains. I can highly recommend this place and if I ever have the chance to travel to Oahu again-I would book it again!

  • Recommended. This is a *very basic* accommodation in an excellent location. Your expectation should be that of a hostel. The room size was larger than I expected with nice details: twin bed, desk and chair, extension cord, canvas closet for hanging clothes, and a good size mirror. It is in the middle of the city with pivot windows - bring earplugs against the noise if you're sensitive. The room itself was clean and the bathroom was as clean as it could get; it's an older bathroom in need of maintenance so it doesn't feel very clean though it is clear that the girls do their best. Again, match your expectations with the price. The location is perfect if you don't have a car and want to explore Honolulu/Waikiki. I took the bus from the airport and the stop is truly about a 1-minute walk to the building. There are a multitude of restaurants and shops within short walking distance and the bus system is pretty easy to access. I didn't meet Tomoko (she was working and my stay was short) but all her communication was immediate and informative. She had a friend meet me at the bus stop with the key who walked me to the apartment, who also told me about her favorite beach which was indeed as beautiful as she described - I would not have gone without the recommendation and I am *so* glad I did. Tomoko's roommates were very courteous and quiet. They didn't speak much English, but they did check with me to make sure it was okay if they had a few friends come over later at night, and let me know after I arrived that they would be taking showers in case I wanted to use the bathroom first. All in all a great place to stay for single women travelers in Waikiki!

  • This is a great value for money. If you need a place not far from the beach and cheap, that's what you need. Every was was as I expected. You get what you pay for.
I travelled alone and I feel very comfortable in this place.
Also want to mention that Tomoko is very friendly and nice person.

  • Tomoko made me feel super welcomed in Hawaii and her roommates were also very friendly. I only stayed one night but the location was perfect if you want to get a feel for what Honolulu and Waikiki are and not pay the excessive price usually associated with the area. Thank you!!!

  • Tomoko's place is located in the heart of Waikiki area which is close to everything, beach, shopping mall and restaurants. And it's just half block to get the bus to the airport directly. The host Tomoko is friendly and nice to talk with. Thank you! :)

  • Tomoko is a very friendly and nice host. The room is exactly like on the pictures. The accomodation is nothing luxury but for the price and location it's perfect. You won't find any cheaper room in Waikiki.
