Lovely 2 bed house with garden and 2 cats in quiet location close to Bounds Green tube easy to get into central London 30 minutes by tube . 5-10 minutes walk to the tube.
State of the art bathroom with walk in shower.
Very clean and tidy house and the room backs onto gorgeous private garden so it is very quiet and a bright room.
There are a few food shops near to the house within 5-10 minutes walking and the neighborhood is safe with mostly families living here
Just 10 minutes to Muswell Hill on the bus with many restaurants, cafes, banks and big supermarket. 15 minutes away by bus is Highgate where there is lovely park and close to Hampstead. The area is very quiet and family orientated and safe.
Bit about me, I am very friendly and I love the theatre, cinema good food and travelling. I can recommend some good restaurants close by for you to visit. I am a hair extensionist and sometimes work from home.
I have 2 gorgeous cats. They sleep most of the time and are very friendly especially George
Working in Barnet on a short assignment, I stayed for five consecutive nights in Caroline’s quiet spare room overlooking the garden.
This is a small two-up-two-down terraced house with a bathroom over a kitchen added on the back. The house has been modernised and remodelled with great intelligence and taste. The bathroom in particular is stunningly lovely; to my staid eyes a slice of pure exotica.
However there is no space for your washing things in the bathroom. If you should leave then on the floor against the wall there you will receive a text announcing they have been returned to your room.
Although the room is advertised as a single room the bed is in fact a very comfortable double. The room also has a folding table and a folding chair. I found it completely convenient and comfortable to use my laptop on this table whilst sitting on the bed. Internet connection was excellent. With the broad bed, remaining space is limited and walking between the bed and the fireplace one foot is an inch higher than the other because of the fire hearth protruding into the room. There was no TV in the room, but for me that was a plus.
The only slightly irksome thing was not being able to take my shower in the morning. Working late and other evening commitments meant I only managed to grab an evening shower half the time.
I found what worked best for me was to have my meals outside. As far as shops and eating places nearby there are none. But a tidy walk will get you to a Nisa store with an excellent selection of snacks on Warwick Road, and you are only a short bus ride away from Arnos Grove Tube Station where there are a bunch of shops.
Caroline was an excellent host, room was exactly as shown/described! Quiet street, clean and got along marvellously with her furry family :)
Caroline's house was the perfect location for me, close to the tube station and easy to find.
The house is lovely and well decorated.
I felt very free to go in and out at any time.
I slept very well in the room which is quiet and comfortable.
The bathroom is cute and clean as well.
I wish Caroline and I could have spent more time together because I enjoyed the few conversation we had.
I stayed at Caroline's for 4 nights, which was great for connectivity and in a quiet area. I had a pleasant stay, and Caroline was a good host.
Caroline has a gorgeous house and she made me very welcome with a cup of tea when I arrived and I saw her beautiful garden. I loved the bathroom and shower and I slept very well. It's a lovely quiet road and I would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend Caroline.
Upon answering the door Caroline exclaimed she had an awful day. Showed me the bathroom which is in fact Beautiful. Showed me the room. Told me she would prefer if I did not cook my own food and use kitchen appliances. I didnt feel welcome in any other area of the house which was fine because it reeked of cigarette smoke.
Went to my room which also reeked of cigarette smoke.
Great place if you are a heavy smoker and dont mind eating take away. Not a good fit for me. She did drive me to the tube station the next morning and canceled the reservation without charge to me accepting I was not happy. She seemed nice for the right person
Please see the other reviews I have . The house is cleaned every week and is spotless and no one including myself smokes upstairs. I think this lady would smell smoke a mile away. She knew I had cats and the cats are NEVER in that room plus the bedding was changed that day as it always is on the day a guest arrives.I could say more but I think my other reviews says it all
Very happy with my 4 night stay at Caroline's. I was working in London and it was really nice to come back to a comfortable, peaceful and tastefully decorated every evening with use of the kitchen and the excellent walk in shower. The area is safe and quiet with very good transport links. Caroline is a friendly, considerate and caring host with many interesting experiences from her own travels to share. Highly recommended! I hope to stay again soon.
Caroline has a very nice house in a pleasantly quiet street. Most of my stay was spent in my room as I was out all day. Ideally situated for the tube station and a nearby pub offered very decent food. Caroline is a very nice lady.
First rate host and accommodation! Lovely and welcoming. Warm and comfortable. Very quiet place to stay, safe and secure. No traffic outside so no noise. Very close to the main routes too!
The bathroom is very nice, lovely shower and bath.
Plenty of wardrobe space, nice big bed in a warm room!
I found parking in the street (free) easy enough and it seemed a very safe street too.
Very friendly and accommodating host!
