Interaction with Guests
I am here full time to help with anything the guests need. Booking tours, activities or massages, information about restaurants, help with any issues at the house etc etc. I am as present and helpful or as discreet as the guests like me to be!
My neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. It is the perfect distance from town, we are only 5 minutes from all the restaurants, beaches and supermarkets but far enough that it's super quiet and peaceful. Nobody comes up this road unless they live here and we only have 2 neighbors. You get to enjoy the ocean views and hear the waves crashing, the birds chirping and see the monkeys hanging out in the trees behind the house.
To get around, I highly recommend a 4x4 vehicle or renting some ATV's. The road to get to the house is a dirt road and a little bit steep at times. You could probably make it up without a 4x4 but it's always more comfortable and easy with one.
I like my guests to feel completely at home!
Everything is fine as long as there is no damage to the house or furniture.
It's private, it's gorgeous and it feels like home. We were looking for something great but found something that was fantastic and more than we could have asked for. The view is dreamy, I've never called a view that but I swear I have been dreaming about it since we left.
Lila is super welcoming and helped us out in a very last minute situation.
We stayed here for two weeks in late April 2015, the house is fabulous and was perfect. The pictures do not do it justice.
My family arranged to meet up here, flying in from Brazil, Bermuda and the UK for our youngest daughter's 21st birthday reunion. Lila met us on our arrival and from then on was always available on the phone or text if we needed her. She introduced us to Lolo and Audrey who gave us surf lessons which were excellent and to Shannon who came to the house every other morning to give us private yoga lessons. The dirt roads and steep hill up to the house are a little bit of a challenge (you definitely need a good 4x4) but well worth it to get to such an idyllic location overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The best bits were early morning dips in the pool, listening to the howler monkeys at night, one amazing electrical thunderstorm, riding around on quad bikes, zip wiring at Montezuma waterfalls and especially sun set drinks looking out over the infinity pool at the Pacific.
The worst bits were finding out I am useless at yoga and surfing.
Thanks Lila we had a great time.
Outstanding. Wonderful house, great beaches, great town. We felt very welcome from the start and the house and view were better than the photographs! The back of the house also faces the forest, so you have the constant sound of birds and daily howler monkeys around you. Lila also made extra efforts to help us and our friends more than once during the stay.
About the Host, Lila
After living in Belgium for 17 years, I traveled to Costa Rica and fell in love with the enchanting nature this country has to offer, the people and pura vida, the the beautiful ocean and the joy of surfing it's precious waves. I decided to create a new life for myself and moved here in 2009. A couple years later I built this beautiful home that I now rent to travelers from around the world. I hope to be able to host you one day and share this spot in paradise with you.
