It was a great place to stay in Samara. Andrea and Nick were very sweet and welcoming! And their coffee is the best :) one minute walk away from the beach made the stay even more perfect. Their dog Kimbo is soooo sweet. I recommand it for sure !

It was my very first AirBnB stay and my first time in Costa Rica. So everything was new to me and I was a bit nervous but excited. Andrea responded and confirmed my stay promptly, provided me with a very detailed description to her house and already welcomed me so friendly by email. She organised Nicola to hand me over the keys. I got here a bit earlier than scheduled. Nicola was still at work, so I called him and he immediatly left work. A few minutes later he gave me a warm welcome and explained everything around the house very friendly so I felt at home from the first moment on. Andrea and Nicola are so well organised, have a guest book with useful information about Sámara and loads of suggestions on good restaurants and what to do here. I had a parking space for my car which was great. My room (and the whole house) was very clean with a comfortable big bed, fans and curtains. I slept like a baby :-) The first two nights the mating monkeys started their noise at 5am but as I always have my ear plugs with me, it didn't bother me. The last night I was all by myself and felt very secure. There is also a very good WiFi at the house which I very much appreciated. Many thanks to Andrea and Nikola for beeing such wonderful hosts! I can only recommend a stay at Casa Coco as it is so close to the beach and the city center and at the same time very quiet and in a peaceful area. Pura Vida!

My husband and I stayed with Andrea and Nikolas for 6 days and 5 nights. It was exactly what we wanted and needed. The place was clean and very conveniently placed. It was a few steps from the beach, grocery stores, restaurants and attractions. We were able to use their kitchen, which was fully equipped with everything you need. They also have a parking spot, which was great! Andrea and Nikolas were always there when we had questions and they gave us a lot of information about the area when we arrived. Now that we're back we just wanted to say a huge thank you for the hospitality and sharing your beautiful home with us. It really was an amazing few days!!

Andrea and Nick are Amazing hosts. I stayed with Andrea and Nick for six nights and had a great time. They are very knowledgeable about the area. I really enjoyed that the house is so close to the beach as well as the market. The house was extremely comfortable and clean. The fact that Nick works at the surf shop 150 ft from the house is an added bonus as I was able to take surf lessons from him. Excellent instructor. If you are looking for a nice cozy place with an Amazing atmosphere I recommend this place 110%. I can't wait till November to come back and stay with my new friends.

Ben and I stayed with Nikola and Andrea for three nights. They were wonderful, kind hosts. Living with them made us feel like locals! The house was cozy and we appreciated having full access to the kitchen and living space. The only bummer was that we had trouble with the shower head heater.

Andrea and Nikola are both very nice and their recomandations about where to go and where to eat have never disapointed. No worries about the dog, one has just got to love him. We were alowed to use everything in the kitchen, do our washing and even to play on Nikolas guitar. The location is superb. It's very close to supermarkets and restaurants. We went to intercultura samara and could walk there at the beach every morning. The only thing to improve would be the noises the bed makes when you move. (Due to the construction of the matress i supose) Can be anoying when you're not used to beds like that. None the less i highly recomend this stay to everyone. We had a great time there.

Our stay with Andrea and Nicki was wonderful! We were a very short, shady, easy walk (about 50 steps) to the beautiful Samara beach. We swam every morning. I loved the calm ocean, and my husband found the bigger body surfing waves he wanted at a few beaches a short drive north and south of Samara. Andrea and Nicki's house is very comfortable and very clean. We had no problems sharing the one bathroom as there is also a nice outside shower. There is no air conditioning, but we found the ceiling and floor fans more than adequate to keep us cool at night. The bed is firm and very comfortable and the room has plenty of closet space. I loved hearing the howler monkeys in the early mornings and watching monkeys, parrots, and birds of all kinds in the forest of tropical trees. It is a quick walk to town and many different kinds of Tico, Italian, and French restaurants. We felt very at home with Nicki and Andrea and highly recommend their sweet, homey, and comfortable house. We stayed a month and consider Andrea and Nicki family!

Andrea User ProfileAndrea is a superhost.

My name is Andrea and I have lived in Costa Rica since 2006. I love Samara, and am both privileged and happy to call it home. I love to surf, hang with my dog, and I especially love my job- working as the Executive Director for La Asociacion CREAR. We are a free after-school program for the local youth, focused on arts, language, technology, critical thinking and girl's empowerment. I live a relaxed lifestyle- early morning surfing, or walks on the beach, long days with CREAR, and peaceful evenings at Casa Coco. My boyfriend Nicky also lives here, and he is a total pleasure to have around. He was born and raised in nearby Playa Carrillo, so he can offer plenty of local insight and knowledge. He is also a very talented surfer that is always willing to share some tips! Nicky loves to cook and spearfish, so sometimes there is fresh fish to share. Nicky manages a local surf school, so we can get you the best prices for surf lessons and board rentals, and put you in to contact with the best tour operators in the area. We are calm people that love the outdoors and the simple things in life. Our sweet-natured kimbo is a big black dog that is sure to steal your heart :)
