  • Beautiful setting in the old city and very well appointed spacious room which included a washing machine, detergent and a clothesline and cooking facilities.Very convenient location with a small supermarket 10 metres away and a small fresh produce market every morning. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

  • Blanka was a great hostess. She met us with homemade cherry brandy and gave a quick and thorough tour of the apartment and amenities. She lives right next door and said that she was always available, but we never needed to call on her. The location of this apartment is amazing, especially since we didn't realize how steep the edges of Old Town Dubrovnik were - this apartment is just off the Stradun and is very easy to get to, no hiking necessary.

  • This apartment is in a fantastic location and is quiet, clean and private. Blanka was charming and informative about the eating options, gave us some delicious aperitif to welcome us to her home and supplied us with umbrellas for the wet weather.

This was the quintessential Airbnb experience, home from home.

    Many thanks Blanka

  • We arrived in Dubrovnik after more than 24h trip from Australia. Blanka's place is very nicely located right in the centre of Dubrovnik, just on the side of a small square. Blanka is a very nice host and made us really feel welcome. She gave us her own brewed Sherry as a welcoming drink. The bedroom is very good and comfortable, but perhaps it will be nice to have a place to boil the kettle. (We love our cups of tea). The wireless worked really well too!

There are plenty of restaurants, shops and ATMs nearby. Many sights like the city wall and museums are just 2-5 mins walk. The best experience was to walk around on the top of the city wall early in the morning, taking stunning pictures of the city below and had the whole place peacefully to ourselves before the tourists arrive. Also in late evening, the reflections along the main walkways were so beautiful.
Staying in the middle of Dubrovnik also allowed us to attend classical music and guitar players who often start at 9-9.30 pm. Many museums / churches were also open until 8 pm.

We were surprised that not many restaurants were open for breakfast. Apparently the locals don't do breakfast outside, and I guess because most restaurants open until late at night. However, you can get good supply of fresh fruits from a small local market just outside the flat and supermarkets. Try the fresh figs, they're so nice! Just underneath the flat there's also a nice hotel which offers a full American and continental style breakfast.

My favorite restaurant was the Taj Mahal. The soups and their wrap speciality were delicious! I think I prefer the local beers than the local wine..

We really enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik. It is a very beautiful historical place. Thank you Blanka for letting us staying in your place!

  • Blanka was a really nice and helpful host and her apartment is in an amazing location in the old town. It's a really nice comfortable studio. After spending a week elsewhere in Dubrovnik, I was a little unsure how much I'd like staying in the old town, but it was great. The market outside the place is great. If you're thinking of staying in the old town, definitely stay at Blanka's.

My husband and I are on a 3 week long honeymoon and we stayed at Blanka's place and it was amazing! She had a bottle of wine and a nice card for us upon arrival. The place was immaculately clean and spacious! Location was fabulous! Right in old town, we enjoyed the restaurant downstairs in the square almost daily. Market/grocery store steps from the front door, all old town sites, and reasonable place restaurant... All conveniently located :)
It took us a bit to find the apartment, walk to the square with the market and look for an engraved '6' on the wall by the blue 'apartment' sign. We pushed all the buzzers (im sure only one belongs to Blanka :). And the apartment was on the third floor... There was only two doors... One is the apartment, the other is Blanka's place.
When we left, we forgot that we had our rain jackets in the closet. Blanka emailed us the same day to tell us and offered to mail them... How nice! Luckily for us, we were down in Montenegro and would drive thru Dubrovnik on our way to Split, so we were able to pick it up from Blanka. She arranged tone home on the day we were driving through and it was a smooth transaction :)
We would definitely stay here again!
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in Dubrovnik!

  • Blanka was a lovely host, greeting us with a warm smile and homemade schnaaps. The apartment is centrally located right within the old city's walls, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. in a beautiful historic building overlooking the square. There is a farmer's market right outside your door for fresh vegetables and fruits ;-)
