About This Listing
Your own stylish pad close to the South Bank, Borough Market, Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral and The Shard - with excellent transport to the financial centre and West End.
Want to stay somewhere just minutes to Borough Market, Tate Modern, St Paul's, Shakespeare's Globe and the city's cultural hub at the South Bank? No sweat! All of these are on the doorstep, plus excellent public transport connections (Borough Tube 5 mins, Southwark Tube 7 mins) to the rest of the capital. It's less than 15 mins to Piccadilly Circus, Westminster, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's, the British Museum and all that!
The apartment is ranged over 3 floors with kitchen/diner on the 1st, master bedroom & bathroom on the 2nd and bedroom-cum-study (sleeps two on a sofabed and a further single sofabed) and roof terrace on the top. We like mid-century furniture, and the overall look is spacious and clean (though normal wear and tear on the paintwork!) with a few feature items. All mod cons.
So come, stay in style and experience the best of cultural and gastronomic London on the doorstep.
NB We won't be staying when you are, and nor will our small short-haired dog.
Use the place as your own.

Borough tube - Northern line
Elephant and Castle tube - Bakerloo line
You've also got quick access to Waterloo and London Bridge on foot and Liverpool Street by direct bus (route 344).
The main thing is to enjoy yourself!

The only truly vital rule is not to lock yourselves out! And to leave the keys when you check out.
A quite comfortable, spacious, well-fitted and convenient flat for the two weeks we spent in London. It is well located in a pleasant district (10 minutes walk from the River Thames and not far from the touristic center of London and close to everything (supermarkets, restaurants, tube and buses stations). The appartment is modern and tidy just like the pictures.
Kieron and Joe were very pleasant hosts. Should they come in France we would enjoy welcoming them at home.
We received all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable.
Just a little hitch : the two beds in the room on the 2nd floor are not too comfortable.
Apart from this little inconvenience, we do recommend Kieron's flat.
Thanks Kieron and Joe for helping us having spent a very good stay.

my daughter and I had a wonderful 7 week stay at kieron's flat. well furnished and layed out over 3 floors, it offers all that could be required for a comfortable stay. kieron is an excellent host. the neighborhood has a variety of restaurants and markets and is very convenient to Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe, Tate Modern and The City. There are an array of bus lines that connect easily with tha rest of London. I can highly recommend this rental. thanks kieron!
Our family of 3 enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Holiday at Kieron and Jo's apartment. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos provided on the site. The beds are very comfortable and our teenage daughter loved having the third floor all to herself!
Communication and responses from Kieron were excellent before and after the booking.
We really liked the location of the apartment, both for the fact that it was quiet at night for sleeping, but with easy walking access to many sites, activities and amenities, as well as to several subway stations.
It is easy to prepare meals at the apartment since it is so well equipped including all your spices, and basic condiments.
Our favourite sites within an easy 10 minute walk included: The Southwark Cathedral (The Christmas morning Choral Eucharist was wonderful, but it is worth a visit just for the architecture and design), Borough Market (take in the sites and sounds and do your shopping), the Globe Theatre (even if no plays are on, the museum and tour are a must!).
If you are planning a visit, avoid the business of Leicester Square, and take in a play at the Old Vic Theatre - just over a 10 minute walk away - it features some of the best plays/actors available and is the oldest working theatre in London.
One feature that we loved was the BBC digital radios throughout the apartment. We are public radio buffs, so for us this was particularly nice.
We would love to return to this apartment during another visit to London, and would not hesitate to recommend it to your friends.
You couldn't ask for a better host or a better apartment. Communication with Keiron was wonderful and he was always super helpful and very kind. The apartment is in a very handy location and is just as described in the listing. It was very clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Everything perfect! Thank you Kieron, I hope to see you as soon as possible.
Our stay in Kieron and Jo's awesome flat made our second month in London so much more special than we had ever imagined. As we were in London for work we felt as though we'd jumped right back into our life in London 6 years ago which was awesome - and it was completely down to our stay in this amazing flat.
We had a lovely welcome from Kieron who showed us around and explained everything before he left and it really felt like a home away from home.
The kitchen was stocked with absolutely everything we could have asked for so we were able to have friends over for dinner and cook (they have a great collection of recipe books!) and we even did some baking! We really loved the retro radios too and found ourselves listening to them constantly.
The bathroom was gorgeous and the free standing bath was an amazing treat in a London flat. All of the towels and bedding provided were also great. The bed was also super comfy. We didn't use the upstairs living room as much as we thought we would - although it was cool space and nice to have for an option to watch TV and hang out in. Having the sofa bed / couch was perfect as we had extra guests a couple of nights so we stuck them up there to sleep which worked out well.
One of the best things about this flat is the location. We were working in Farringdon so were able to walk into work each day which was lovely and much more chilled than having to take tubes and buses. Walking down to the river or along to SouthBank only took 10 - 15 mins so we found ourselves wandering a lot on the weekends and evenings. When we did take buses and tubes the options were always convenient - Southwark and Borough tubes are both close to walk to.
Restaurant wise there was heaps of great places close by - we ate Japanese, Italian, Argentinian, Mexican, Latin American - along with trying out a few of the local pubs too, all of which were great. Borough Market is only a 5 min walk so we loved spending time there on the 2 Saturday's we were free. There are some amazing food stalls, cafes and restaurants in the market and you'd need a year at least to get through them all!
When we ate at home we shopped in the local Co-op or M&S both of which had everything we needed and were really well stocked.
I could go on and on about how cool our stay at Kieron and Jo's place was but I'm about to run out of words! So I'll just say we can't recommend it enough! For anyone visiting London that wants to experience London living at it's absolute best - this cool, quirky and unique flat is absolutely perfect!
Thanks Kieron and Jo!
Wonderful apt close to everything! Spacious, updated, quiet, well appointed and just perfect for our needs. Just like the pictures! Kieron met us there, showed us how everything worked, a very gracious host. If we ever get back to London would love to stay here again.
