The house is in a Tokyo residential very quiet area, with no tall buildings, no shopping centre no noisy activities: perfect for a relaxing permanence in Tokyo.
It takes 10 minutes walk to Nishimagome station: last station of Toei Asakusa Line. In Tokyo there are 24 wards and this place is in Ota ward where there is the Haneda airport. Ota ward is situated south of Tokyo and adjoins the Kanagawa Prefecture where Yokohama is situated. Tokyo is a huge metropolitan city and there is not a main centre like in most of the big cities in the world. There are different main areas where people of different interest gather and each area has has a peculiar architecture and or characteristic. For example asakusa is the old tokyo with old style wood houses, ginza is the modern building area, Roppongi is the clubbing are with lot of foreigners, Shinbashi is the office area, Shibuya is the club area with a lot of young people going there, Shinjuku is business, shopping, dining area with a huge station that bring people from suburbs. Tokyo station is the business area with tall buildings, etc...
From Nishimagome station (closest station):
- Shinagawa: 15 minutes (Shinkansen station that go south japan like Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc)
- Shibuya: 22 minutes
- Shinjuku: 28 minutes
- Tokyo Station: 28 minutes (Shinkansen station that go north and south of Japan)
- Yokohama: 38 minutes
- Haneda: 36 minutes
- Narita: 90〜120 Minutes

Extremely cozy place. Although it seems like a far location from the city, it has been an absolutely perfect spot for us as there was no difficulty in going to the major spots in Tokyo. Accommodations for Stefano's home has been above and beyond in terms of service and quality of stay. I recommend for EVERYONE vacationing an Japan!
Our stay at Stefano's place was great! Authentic Japanese style futon to sleep on plus a big enough room for 2-3 people to fit in comfortably. The free wifi was also very fast so surfing the net at night when we were tired of roaming around felt pleasant. The bathroom and toilets were also clean so it was very easy to get down to business. Also free coffee!
The only real problem was the house was kinda far from the station so it was easy to get lost if you forget where to turn.
Hye all, I have a great day in Stefano house. A very pleasurable trip with his help. We reach his house late night and he help us to carry our bulky big bags to our room! What a great host at the very first time we met.
The next morning, he teaches us to use all the appliances because the function wrote in Japan. He even guide us to use the train as it is quite complicated and he make it easy to us. He also sent us to the nearest station which is Nishimagome. Without his help we will be lost in Japan.
His house is very clean and neat just like the picture, complete kitchen set and he allow us to us the kitchen as it is our home. He is very generous and humble and kind.. we talk a lot about Japanese culture and he is kind of funny man too.
Definitely recommend this place to anyone who want to visit Tokyo! We stay for a week and he made everything so easy to us! We will come again next time and stay at his place again. He is a great host! Please please choose his place to stay! u wont be regret!
We stayed at Stefano's place for our very night in Japan (we had flown in
from Taiwan that evening) and although we only stayed for 1N, we had a
great time! Stefano was a wonderful host, from being so patient in giving
directions to reach his home as well as willing to sit around and talk with
us over cups of sake about his time and his life in Japan for our first
evening there. He is has a great sense of humour and was willing to always
be around in case we needed anything. His home is also very comfortable and
very clean. We had never slept on the Japanese futons (bedding on the
floor) yet they were surprisingly comfortable and even though it was a bit
cold outside, we didn't feel it at all thanks to our individual heaters in
our rooms. We even discovered another version of the Japanese toilet - with
the tap built into the top of the toilet cover (very sustainable, make sure
to ask Stefano about it next time you are there).
We do wish to note that there are stairs to reach the bedrooms and for us,
4 adults, it was no issue to walk up and down with our small luggage yet,
for anyone who is has issues with stairs or has really large suitcases, we
recommend you talk with Stefano before your visit.
Stefano - thank you for our lovely stay (even though it was only 1N)!

Stefano made sure that we had an excellent stay in Tokyo. His flat is clean, comfortable, and in a very calm neighbourhood. The train station and grocery stores are very close by. Stefano is very kind; he came to pick us up from the station on the night of our arrival and helped us to plan our visits to tourist sights around the city. It was the perfect choice for my group of friends and I.
English version below!
We had such a great time at Stefano's place. Nishi Magome, the area where Stefano lives, is a green safe haven only 10 mn from the busy area of Gotanda and Shinjuku (20 mn), on the Yamanote line. And Stefano was very nice to us despite our family size (4children!). We warmly recommend his place, whether you go as a couple or with friends this is a nice place to discover busy Tokyo from!
We had a great time at Stefano's. He was very kind and accomodating, and we really felt welcome and at home. The house is well furnished, comfortable, and nice to stay at.
