Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Alexander was very nice and welcoming, he gave us many useful information on the main places to visit in Amsterdam. We did have a small change in our booking but we did not have any problem getting a refund. Overall the flats were nice and clean and not too far from the city centre.

  • Really helpful in letting me leave my luggage there early and take a shower in the common bathroom before my check-in. Rooms are simple and clean. Great place, would recommend it.

    February 2014
  • it was nice place.
we had three rooms with big beds, six people stayed there.
it would be better if we could have a living room, but this is definitely nice place to stay.
it has a canal view and is very clean of course.
    recommend it!

  • Very clean, very well equipped and in a great location. Our only negative is that there is little privacy, one room has the front door in it, so if not arriving back at the same time, well, it is a problem. The other two rooms are connected to each other with no corridor, so late night bathroom visits mean walking through a bedroom, ( Or having other people coming through yours!)

  • Think twice before you stay here. The accommodations are cramped and the smell in the toilet is truly unbearable. Also, take note of the "noise rules." Alexander will retain a portion of your deposit if he deems you in violation of these "rules." Overall, a clean apartment, and the location was very nice, but not worth the hassle in the end.

    Response from Alexander:

Mr. Volpe did not respect the simple houserule 'silence at night'. Doors and windows wide open, the voices of the groupmembers echoing all over the courtyard after 1 a.m. And yes it is a self service apartment, also as it comes to cleaning the toilet during your stay ;-)

  • Staying at Alexander was very nice. A wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam. Very well maintained, clean and location is superb.

The neighborhood is worthwile exploring and the
Albert Cuyp market is a must-see.

  • Alexander was very welcoming, provided good information on surrounding tourist sites. Rooms weren't ready (beds weren't made until later on in the evening at about 10/11pm. However, Alexander made an effort to try and fix the situation) and my friend got locked in the shower (so be careful with the locking). Other than that, experience overall was good. Thanks!

  • Thank you Alexander for a perfect apartment!
The apartment was very comfortable, even for 7 girls! Fully equipped and modern. Very close to the city centre and easily reachable by tram. The area had everything we needed close by and it was nice not to be directly in the tourist area.
We loved the apartment and would stay again!

Apartment Rentals in Amsterdam center
Hello, I am Alexander. I hope to welcome you soon in my house in Amsterdam . Think you will enjoy it! I have been traveling quite a bit (email hidden) and had a travel agency/touroperating agency. I have been living in Amsterdam for over 30 years, I am Dutch and was born in 1955 in a small city along the river Rhine. I also lived in Utrecht and the Hague before I found my home in Amsterdam. The vivid heart of Holland. The accommodation is close to Museumsquare, Heineken Experience and Albert Cuijp market street. The Quarter is called ZUID / de Pijp. It is the so called Quartier Latin of Amsterdam. It is one of the most central and attractive quarters of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is easy and laid back, less hectic than the canalbelt. The house is from 1886. Steep flights of stairs (and cycling) will keep us fit ;-). Alexander's is just next to the canal 'Boerenwetering' leading to Rijksmuseum at 5 minutes walking distance. Leidse plein square, Rembrandt square and city nightlife is also near. From Schiphol Airport by train to the Central Railway Station takes 20 minutes. From the Central Railway Station it takes ten minutes by tram (16 or 24) to stop Albert Cuijp market street. Enjoy your stay in Amsterdam!
