I am renting all three bedrooms in a beautiful newly built art house located on a picturesque Sarajevo hillside just above the city center, located next to the famous Jewish Cemetery and Radio "Old Town" offices. The price for each bedroom is 20 Euros/room/night. The price for the whole house is 80 Euros/night. Each bedroom can sleep two. In addition, two extra people can be accommodated in the living room to make eight total.
The house has hardwood floors and also is very minimal/clutter-free in design. There are three furnished bedrooms (two have one queen-size bed, one bedroom has two queen-size beds), each accommodates two people. each with a private bathroom, a big salon with kitchen, and a spacious dining area. There is a large-sized front yard with a beautiful vista point overlooking the city, two terraces, a good-size storage room, and a space for two cars.
The small amphitheater located in the front yard can accommodate a group of 15 for a swanky cocktail-hour type of gathering.
Two supermarkets are within a short walking distance (150 meters) and the city center is a five minute taxi ride ( 3$). Marijin Dvor, a commercial center with large-size shopping centers is a 10-minute downhill walk. A 15-minute downhill walk is all that separates you and the famous Old Turkish Quarters - Bascarsija, with its Ottoman-style traditional artisan shops, restaurants and cafes. We don't recommend a walk back to the house, unless you want to incorporate it into your daily exercise routine. Taxis are the most convenient and inexpensive mode of transport getting to and back from the city center.
The guest has access to the kitchen, sitting room and a huge garden with a plenty space for breakfast and dinning.
Interaction with Guests
I love to interact with my guest and give them all information about my country and my city.
I am very much interested in the culture of ather nation and am willing to sheer Bosnian experience in art and heritage.
Sarajevo is an open museum, with so many interesting (website hidden) is up to the guest what is he/ she interested in , so we can explain in the best way where to go and what to see.
There,s very cheap tram and taxi to go around.q
A maximum of two people per room.
No smoking inside the house. Terrace is OK.
I expect guests to observe that it is a residential area and sound ordinances need to be respected. No loud noise past 10PM during the week, and 11PM on weekends.
The garden can be used for meetings and cocktails...
Shoes off inside the house.
No pets, please.
We had a wonderful time staying in Sabi's beautiful art house. She was really helpful with information about Sarajevo and made us feel at home .
Had a positive experience staying at Sabi's art house in Sarajevo. She welcomed us with some homemade soup and the room (and house) was lovely and clean in a quiet residential neighbourhood. A really genuine Airbnb experience. Thanks again, Sabi!
Sabi's house is located on a hill about 15 - 20 min walk to the old town - the view is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and clean! Sabi was very spontanious and nice but she doesn't live in the house (probably other travellers are renting the other rooms) and so we didn't see her very often. That made the communication with her a little confusing at times.
Otherwise we can recommend the place!
Indeed a beautiful house, very spacious room with huge bathroom en suite. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was situated only 20 minutes walking from the old town. Situated up a hill, the terrace gives a wonderful view over Sarajevo. Sabi was a great host, welcomed us with Bosnian coffee and provided a lot of recommendations for sightseeings in Sarajevo and around.
We had a great experience staying at Sabi's place! Our room was big with a nice shower. And Sabi was a great host, who was funny, helpful and made us feel more than welcome. We highly recommend staying at place that is just 10 minutes walking from city centre...
The place is wonderful: lots of art, space and love from Sabi. It's a short walk downhill to the New City Centre, and 20min to the Old Town. A taxi takes only 3-4 euro's. Sabi is a very kind woman with excellent English skills.
Only thing that wasn't perfect were the waterfacilities. No water at night and a very short warm shower. But if you prepare with some bottles it isn't too bad (with the hot climate you probably want a cold shower anyway).
Overall: very recommended!
Sabi is a great host! The house is fantastic, the view from the hill over the city is amazing (especially if its your first time in Sarajevo), the rooms and bathrooms very pretty and clean and there is a very special atmosphere in the house. Thanks to Sabi, who is taking care of everyone!! She can tall a lot about the city and Bosnia and many stories from her adventurous life. The terrace is very cosy in the evenings, better than any pub in the city centre. Though it's very close, 10 mins max. walk down the hill and you are right in the middle of the throbbing city. I can recommend this place to everyone who wants not only to experience the city but also the people and their warm heartedness.
