This charming and cosy thatched rondavel is nestled under the magnificent Sibebe rock on a secluded and quiet property in the heart of Pine Valley. It is peaceful as well as conveniently close to all amenities, being 15 minutes drive to the centre of Mbabane, half an hour from Oshoek border and Ezulwini. Watch birds from the patio, take a walk along the river that runs below the property, have a picnic or hike up the ridge to get a magnificent view of Sibebe rock. We look forward to hosting you!
The space
The rondavel is a light, airy yet cosy space, making it a perfect retreat in a beautiful valley. Just steps from the Mbuluzi River and accessible hiking area, but protected within a private space and beautiful gardens. It is an ideal spot for bird watching. The rondavel has everything you could need and the round shape of the building makes it feel like a loving hug.
Living area
A spacious living area with sliding doors that open out into the gardens, dining table, full bookshelf and couches with beautiful views.
Kitchen
A fully functioning kitchen with breakfast table, ample storage space and games cupboard.
Bathroom
A bathroom with shower and bathtub looking onto Sibebe. Although conveniently located next to one of the bedroom’s, the bathroom has it’s own entrance.
Mezzanine level
A large mezzanine level with double bed, single bed, futon, shelves and writing desk. There is space for a hammock and to do yoga.
Downstairs bedroom
A cosy bedroom with a double bed and large cupboard.
Notes
An extra floor mattress can be set up in either room. Fans, a heating unit and mosquito nets are provided. Fast unlimited wifi is included.
Outdoors
Outside there is a cute table and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee, tea or smoothie while soaking up the peace and stunning beauty of Pine Valley. The washing machine is around the back of the building, close to the washing line with view of Sibebe rock and Mgogodla ridge. There is a double covered parking area and access to a BBQ grill and weights bench. There are other houses on the property for a sense of security but each with its own privacy. The rondavel has outside security lights that turn on automatically at dusk but can be switched off for better stargazing!
The rest of the property
There is a sweet dog that lives in another house on the property and an abundance of birds, monkeys and other wildlife along the river. You may see geckos in the rondavel but they are harmless and eat mosquitos! There are plenty of walking paths for all levels of fitness, plus an outdoor adventure playground for children with sandpit, swing and fireplace.
For longer stays housekeeping can be included at your own cost. Please ask for more info.

There is a common entrance and driveway for the other few houses on the property but the entire rondavel and garden will be yours during your stay!

The highlight of Pine Valley is Sibebe Rock, the second largest monolith in the Southern Hemisphere after Uluru in Australia. It is a magnificent sight with plenty of walking trails for the adventurous and river swimming spots. Watch the cows grazing among the granite boulders and hear the calls of the cowherds as they gather them to go home. Abundant birdlife and unique flora and fauna.
