A cozy, colorful spot with everything you need to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation.
Welcome to our tranquil, sunny, sweet spot in the beautiful Eldorado Springs Valley, just minutes south of Boulder. Gorgeous views and nature surround you, from horses in the pasture next door to the local wildlife, such as deer, fox, and owl.
This special place has its own unique character and all the comforts of home. It is private and very quiet at night. You can see the stars.
The 400 square foot abode has a kitchen with a lovely view, a small gas stove/oven, fridge, microwave, and other kitchen essentials. The bedroom has a queen pillow top bed, dresser, cable TV, DVD player, and a large picture window with a beautiful view from the bed. The bathroom is new construction and quite spacious for a small space. A living room area has a comfortable, full size sofa sleeper, and a small desk. Wireless internet access, with a small patio and parking right in front.
We also have other listings on the property, the Awesome Reinvented Blacksmith Shop and the Eldorado Valley Artist Cabin. It's a fun, relaxed place to stay.
A fantastic trail system is just minutes away. Enjoy hiking, running, mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, depending on the season. Two miles down the road from here is Eldorado Canyon, which features Eldorado State Park where hiking, world class rock climbing and scenic vistas happen. Also located in the canyon is the Eldorado Springs Pool, a wonderful artesian spring fed pool, so refreshing and fun in the summertime. Downtown Boulder seems a world away, although it is actually a 5-10 minute drive. There are bike paths all the way into town.
Food shopping is close; King Soopers has everything and is five minutes away. Whole Fodds, Trader Joe's, and many other markets are also a short drive. At our intersection, a mile away, is the Eldorado Corner Market which includes a gas station/convenience store and a liquor store.
We are both artists and our home and studio are on the property. Feel free to come by anytime during your stay to chat and visit. We know a lot about the area and can help with ideas about things to do. We'd love to have you as our guests!

Great cozy place spectacularly decorated from unique art work to hand made coffee cups and bowls. Beautiful views and great running/hiking/mt. biking close by. Wish we could stay for a week! We will recommend to friends and visiting relatives!
We loved our stay at the abode. A retreat just moments from Boulder. A great value with spectacular views and amenities. If we return to the Denver metro, we'll be sure to check for availability at Susan's!
Everything was exactly as described – clean, comfortable, and cozy. Susan’s communication was prompt and kind. This unit is attached to another, but this wasn't a issue - the other guests were quiet and the units appear to be separated by a garage. Would definitely stay again, especially given the price point and the unit’s proximity to Boulder.
We absolutely loved this place! It had everything we needed and was so comfortable. 5 mins from Boulder and just beautiful views. We will stay here again next time we come to town. It was the perfect getaway for my birthday!
I had a wonderful stay at Susan's Valley Abode. She was there to greet me when I arrived and the place was very clean and stocked. She was communicative from the first email and very easy to coordinate with. The place itself is situated with a nice view of the mountains and the afternoon/evening light in the bedroom was exquisite. I would definitely stay here again, so much better than a hotel!
My partner and I loved the place. People were friendly. But she did call us saying the place was a disaster. But left us no instructions on how to leave it. Otherwise a great and peaceful stay.
The abode was very clean and welcoming and had all of the supplies we needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with an amazing view of the mountains. It was a great place to stay!

I am a self employed artist and have lived in this beautiful valley since 1991, with my husband, Tom, who is a ceramic artist, teacher, and a musician.
In the past, we spent a lot of time on the road, doing art shows with our two sons, who grew up here.
I have done a lot of traveling and enjoy meeting people from all over. One of the most memorable experiences of my life was when I lived in Italy for close to a year while I was in college in the early '70's. Part of the time I lived with an Italian family in Tuscany whom I adored. I would love to return there someday.
I enjoy being active in the outdoors and at the gym, cooking fun and healthy foods, growing vegetables and herbs, and learning new skills. I love to read and collect all kinds of books, including novels, non-fiction and cookbooks. One of my favorite books is The Infinite Plan, by Isabel Allende.
We have had visits in our home with many guests from all over through the years, and it has been good times. I have learned to be open to having adventures and being spontaneous. My most memorable times have not involved much planning or expense.
